He makes it super easy. I was totally dreading it but i loved his class. He gives you plenty of time to do speeches. As long as you follow his directions you will do great. He even gives you the outline. Everything needed for class, he prints off so dont buy the book.

Walton is so nice and a very easy grader. He was always really clear on how he wanted things. No tests. Starts of with little speeches and works up to bigger ones. Definitely take him. No textbook.

Mr. Walton is such a great teacher. I hate giving speeches but he starts out with little baby speeches and works up to bigger ones (like 5minutes). He really cares about helping you become a better speaker. Easy grader. I definitely recommend taking him.

Dreading speech until I took this class! He begins with short speeches and works up to longer ones, my longest was 5 minutes. He is very helpful and gives very specific instructions and even makes the outlines for students to fill in which helps a lot! Great professor!

This was such an easy A! I had him for Foundations of Communication, and his class was super easy. All you do is power points, and he is an easy grader. He is a great guy, and is very funny. I would definitely recommend taking him!

Take him. He's really clear on what he wants, even to the point to where you become bored. The first few days he bragged about how long he was teaching the class. Nice guy, expects you to do your part, easy though. I would take him again.

Follow all his guidelines for speech outlines & the actual speech, & you'll pass. He makes you evaluate other speeches so you can't skip class too much. Plus, there's a big "text book portfolio" in the end, so try not to procrastinate it because it's pages long with thought-out essay-type questions.

GREAT TEACHER!! Would recommend him to anyone taking speech. Very helpful and one of the nicest people I've ever met. I would take another speech class if I had him as a teacher again. Truly a good man!

Want an easy A? Take this class. Follow the delivery outlines, get comfortable in front of your audience, follow the typed outline form, make Mr. Walton laugh a little, and you've got an A! 4 speeches the whole year, and at the end a "portfolio" of textbook exercises. Not hard at all! Very fun guy, laid-back and insightful. Fun class! :D

Excellent teacher! My favorite from freshman year actually. He's super easy and cares about his students and their ability to succeed. 3 speeches and some homework. Tests are common sense type. The speeches were hard but gave me something to be proud of in the end. would DEF take him again! he is also a published author.

I had TW for Intro to Mass Communication and loved him! No tests just 3 to 4 quizzes thru the entire semester. Most of the grade came at the end of the class with the final project. Students taught the lessons and it was a very very easy class. Didnt have to take notes. If you have to take this class take him! EASY A! I was sad when the class ended

Mr. Walton is an excellent speech instructor as long as you are not hoping to learn how to give speeches. He focuses much more on outlines for speeches than learning to be comfortable in front of an audience. Content of the speech does not seem to be a factor either. It's a fun, easy class, but I don't feel like I am learning very much.

This is an easy class. He's a decent teacher that will give you a good grade as long as you do what he asks. The book is hardly used but necessary for the CAT Portfolio at the end of the semester. Great choice for Speech class.
