He is a very nice guy but he does get off topic occasionally but it ties in well with what he's teaching. Quiz online sometimes. For tests you take 2, first time individual, 2nd with a group. It's pretty nice cause some test questions are confusing. Pretty easy to pass though if you pay attention. I would take his course again. Funny sometimes too

Terrible professor. Interested ONLY in stream restoration. Considers interpretative dance a reasonable lab. Has no interest in exploring the huge variety of other topics for a class named "Advanced Geomorphic Processes". Avoid at all costs, absolutely asinine. Canned labs taken from other universities that he doesn't work through ahead of time

Fun guy who really likes the topic he teaches. You have to really be focused and take good notes to completely understand the material. I suggest rehashing what you wrote in your notes while he is off topic (he does that a lot).

Nice guy, but has a difficulty converting trains of thought into comprehensible speech. Gets off topic really easily, and often confuses himself while giving lectures. Test questions can be confusing and kind of frustrating. Tries to keep lectures interesting, but doesn't always happen. I was interested in meteorology, but now I'm not so sure...

Watershed science with toby was a blast! I think he is a really good teacher- if you have a misunderstanding about your grade, talk to him and explain where you come from, in an adult manner, and he normally will agree with you!

Fun, easy class. Learned a few things I did not know. Does not allow laptop use in his class room. Maybe some students need to learn to pay attention. Most test questions required some thought. Good teacher. I'd take a class with him again.

DON'T TAKE THIS CLASS! It's boring, even if you are interested in the subject and frsurating because Toby doesn't know how to explain himself. The tests are impossible because Toby can't write them. I was in class everyday, studied my butt off and BARELY managed a B and I'm a soph. with a 3.94 gpa. Labs and lectures both are very boring.
