Toby Meinel is awesome! Get this teacher! He is super helpful, enjoyable, and funny. His class is very relevant and he doesn't waste your time. He is extremely personable and understanding of students. Brilliant guy! Get him!

He was really nice and very easy, took time to explain everything. Very available outside of class. I just prefer more of a lecture-type class than his which was 99.9% discussion. Tons of extra credit. Also 1 group project (tells you exactly what he wants).

Tries his hardest to keep antebellum American writing interesting (no easy task) and usually succeeds. Class is fun and he is a great discussion leader. He is a very lenient grader and gives tons of EC. Only a small reading for each class. I would recommend Tobi's class to everyone.

I loved this class!!! My class was at 9 in the morning but I actually wanted to go. If you just go most of the time and do each of the assignments that he is always reminding students about, you will get a great grade! I wish he could be my teacher for every class!
