Mr. Beck, hands down, is one of the most greatest impactful professors i have ever had the chance to have. He is a great phenomenal speaker, and is very knowledgeable. He has helped me through a lot and has really made me realize what i can become. This may sound corny, but Mr. Beck is one of the greatest people i have ever met.

Mr. Beck is a great prof. He is a professional in his field as well as an educator, which makes a good mix for teaching a subject. His lectures are really interesting, and research substantiates all he teaches in his lectures. He is personable and understands and respects students' time.

My Beck was one of my Prof's 15 years ago. I used him as a reference for YEARS and he remembered me. I will always remember him as one Prof who CARED about his students! Amazing man and Professor!

Mr. Beck is a decent teacher overall, but I found him to be demeaning. I felt like he often talked down to us. He also taught as if radio is superior to television which I found a bit irritating. He over-exaggerates and is a bit dramatic for my taste, and on the whole I didn't like him very much.

Mr. Beck is a great prof. I had a public speaking class with him over 10 years ago, and I still remember many of the tips and techniques he taught. He taught his class with "grace and dignity".

Great guy, wont let you fail or not get an A. No book just a lot of hand outs. No tests except the final. If you major in radio this is the guy you want teaching you. Not boring at all and really approachable.

Excellent! Knows his stuff. Attendance policy is great. He lets you know on the first day of class what is on the final as well as your speaking schedule. Gives great examples for every presentation.

As a former WZIP staff member, I would say that Mr. Beck is the BEST teacher and leader in the entire world. He makes you understand and does not talk down to you. He is there for you when you need him and gives the best advice.

tom beck is a pretty cool guy, although if you have him for business & professional speaking, you better make sure you make the minimum time of a speech requirement or else you are screwed! he is very helpful though and overall a really nice guy.
