I took him for Byzantine and Ancient Greece and Rome. He was an excellent professor. He is no longer there, unfortunately. While he was one of my harder professors, he was definitely one of my favorite.

C'mon people! Sure, he's kind of grumpy and not exactly the most understanding person . . . BUT he has a pretty good (albeit dry) sense of humour. Plus he worked for Russell Kirk, so give the man some respect. If he seems like he is bored with teaching it is because you aren't studying your Wheelock!
