He's a great professor, just make sure you listen. It's really hard to sometimes, but he is extremely intelligent, and definitely knows what he's talking about. Go to office hours, he's really easy to talk to and helps you understand the material on a different level.

Bill is a marvelous person! He makes learning a difficult language fun and accessible. He has a great sense of humor, he is casual, and easygoing. His jokes are sometimes subtle and his humor dry, which makes it all the better. He is understanding and flexible so long as you approach him. Seriously, he is one of the best profs I've had!

I had Bill for Everyday Soviet Life, which was a seminar through Cowell college. It was a great class. A little too much literature for my taste/interests, however he chooses wonderful readings, fiction or non-fiction. He is accomodating, understanding, and will do so much for a student if he sees that she or he wants to learn.
