He's a nice guy, BUT, he has been teaching this subj. too long he speeds through concepts,No book-he is not prompt with emailing the "info packets", discussions are silent because no one knows what he's talking about!,tests are confusing,classes are unorganized- his techniques are dated ('80's at best) not relevant in today's market.

DO NOT TAKE. His class is impossibly hard. He oversimplifies things in class, and the practice problems in his notes are not even half as hard as his test questions. I am a Finance major and an A student and I will be lucky if I get a C in this class! His personality sucks and he's as helpful in this class as an art teacher would be.

DO NOT TAKE. I get good grades and heard good things about him from another professor, and usually take ratings on here with a grain of salt. Not true for this guy, terrible teacher, races through material and makes mistakes, good luck knowing what he had done right from wrong. Stay away, not worth the work for such a poor teacher.

This guy is one of a kind... The class is def. hard, but managable if you GO TO CLASS. He can be confusing, but he gives you practice problems before tests. He was more than generous when it came to retaking tests... INTERESTING.

Despite what you may have read previously about Professor Weaver, he really is not as bad as people may say. The key to success is to make it to class, read the notes he gives you, and do 2-3 practice problems before the test and you're good to go. There really is no trickery in his work. I really do recommend if interested in Real Estate.

Good Pro. Does not waste time teaching pre-req concepts that is what he assumes you to know already. Written Material to the point. Take good notes, test are on class discusions. Very usful information if you ever plan to buy real estate. Over all requires a bit more studying for test than other Finance classes.

The worst teacher i have ever had. i am getting an a in the class and have learned everything via google. his self written text is useless and full of mistakes. if you are stupid enough to take this class or have too much hubris like me, you dont need to go to class to get a good grade but will need to put a ton of time in.

Horrible Professor.Completely agree with the unfair grading policy! Tried to email him regarding a grading issue and responded to one email, but simply ignored the second, even though I have proof he received it. Be very careful when taking this professor. Try to avoid if you don't want to worry about whether or not you'll pass the class.

This class was ridiculously hard! I have never had such a hard time trying to figure out what the test might be on! INSANE! And he grades unfairly, you be the judge: he said to round to 6 decimals on the test, if you rounded to 2 you got 100%, if you rounded to 6 and one number was off, you got an 80%. I think that is bull!

hard work but an interesting class. You will get the grade you earn. A lot of real world experience involved, have used it several times in R/E investment opportunities. he is helpful if you need it but wont spoon feed you anything. know the conceptual stuff inside and out on tests.

This class is hard, but if you've taken other finance courses and are not a slacker it is passable. Professor is hard to understand in class, is regularly available in his office to help. A few tips, study a lot, visit his office a lot, and practice using a financial calculator...a lot.

I passed barely.. Alot of people fail this course. The teacher can explain all the principles and the material but he does not know how to drill the calculations into students. He flies over the hard stuff and talks about the little things. The tests are so much harder than anything you do in class. Great class****ty teacher
