Comment:

Stochastic statistics is a very hard subject and Mr. Wedel did a fantastic job in preparing and providing us with all pertinent material and informion so we may not only do well on the tests but also use what we learn in the real world. Listen to the lecture, do the homework problems multiple times and be thankful for the notebook that he provides.

Whatever you do, do not take the class or listen to the reviews. I thought he would be a great teacher, but he just sits down on the chair and teaches from the PowerPoint. His powerpoints are just answers, and he does not know how to explain things. He thinks you expect to know the material. He is not good. Please stay away from him.

Hes such an awesome guy! His sense of humor is hilarious you either love him or you hate him. Down to earth and extremely helpful, always answers questions and is available for extra help during office hours definitely worth going to his office. He used his own book which is a life saver and also allowed them during exams. Uses real life problems

The professor is not only knowledgeable, he also explains the concepts in an easy way to understand. He is very helpful during office hours and via email, and what I liked about his assignments is that they are practical real world problems. Oh by the way, he has a great sense of humor! I still sometimes remember his jokes and laugh!

He's sarcastic and funny. Really simplifies the subject to understand it at a basic level. There are two exams, 40% each, and a paper 20%) You need to do well on them because you don't have any other way to raise/improve your grade if you don't do good on the first one. He's a good teacher. He'll help you. But you need to study and practice a lot.

Wedel was an interesting professor. His jokes were peculiar but he did teach the material. If you listen to his lectures, and take notes, you're good to go. He lets you use your notes for the midterm and final. Could it get any easier? However, he was fast paced. Make sure to ask if you don't understand. He's there to help!

Some people will love this teacher, others will hate him. He is funny and has a weird sense of humor but if you really pay attention to what he says, you will understand. The tests are really easy if you know the material. Give this guy a chance, he might win you over. I thought he was hilarious.

He is dry and not funny. Keeps degrading his brother- in law who has nothing to do with the class. Was not very helpful or I would get a better grade in his class. Need better math teachers for this subject who in not in a rush to go home. Was not impressed with his teaching style. Take another teacher if you really want to do well in Stats.

Quirky sense of humor but he actually makes the subject interesting. Great at explaining math and he leaves his door open even when he is not schedule for office hours to help out students who have questions. One of the best if not the best math teachers at the school. Just make sure to do all the assigned work and you'll be fine.

He's very helpful when you visit his office hours. His midterm was easy but his final was really hard, there were some questions we hadn't gone over too thoroughly prior to the final. overall, he's a fair professor. He's funny, sarcastic, and intimidating to some, but I found him to be a good professor. don't take him if you're not too good at math

Prof. Wedel was a really funny teacher. He gave 1 midterm, 1 final, and 1 paper at the end of the semester. Midterm and final are open notes. I HIGHLY recommend going to class everyday to make sure you understand everything.

Prof. Wedel is very fair. Stats itself is not easy, but he makes the class that much easier to understand. Grading scale is pretty generous. Do your case study ASAP so you can spend time studying for the exams. Work all problems in his book (what he covers in class and doesn't cover in class) and you should do very well on his exams!

He is very fair. Funny. No textbook so YOU MUST TAKE GOOD NOTES! I am not good at Math so I struggled. The midterm was 1 week before final due to fires in the area. That hurt me. I will re-take the class. PRACTICE! Decision trees and Simulation were the tough topics.
