The sheer amount of work -- even for an accelerated class -- was maddeningly insane. On top of that, the textbook and online platform used was awful. I'd have sooner used Duolingo than Cengage/Mindtap (even if it were free.) I learned more in the last few days independently studying for the final than I did doing the ENDLESS work in this class.

While taking her course I had gotten ill and had to be hospitalized for several days. When I presented her with documents and proof of my illness, she did not care or allow me to make up the work I missed. She simply did not care, was rude, and unconcerned. I would NOT RECOMMEND taking her class. AT ALL. She lacks personable and teaching skills.

I had to drop this class. It was close to impossible if you have zero knowledge of the Spanish language. I asked the professor for help and clarification and she told me to figure it out. Not what I expect from a professor. Her instruction was vague, unclear and full of typos. Homework is auto graded so she really doesnt seem to do much.

This class can be extremely hard if you are truly learning a new language for the first time. Most of the homework is done online and there is a lot!! Overall professor is pretty cool and laid back but still takes her class very serious and will hold you accountable. She tries to seem super strict at the start of the semester but she loosens up.

This class requires a lot of time and work. About 1- 2 hours of homework every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, which are not very hard but very time consuming. She's very nice but ready to work.

Professor Gonzalez is great. She is clearly experienced at teaching Spanish to newbies. She is also very personable. If you put in effort, she will go out of her way to help you. If you do not put in effort, do not expect to pass. If you do the homework and listen to what she says, you will not have trouble passing & maybe even learning Spanish. :)

Overall good professor. There is a ton of homework , and she is really bad at answering back in a timely manner. There are interviews she does over google hangouts so that there s a face to face. The grading is a little wonky and some things are hidden from time to time but if everyone in the class mentions it it gets fixed quickly.

Lots of online homework (hybrid course). Really great class though. Put the work in and you'll have no problem getting through. If you're just lazy, don't expect any second chances.

Professor Gonzalez is a great professor! She is very kind and will help if you are having trouble. Spanish is hard to learn but professor Gonzalez makes it easier. She gives a good amount of homework so beware of that, but otherwise her test are pretty easy. Four test and two oral interviews, not difficult she gives you practice questions for them.

Very enjoyable class. She has so much character that shines through in lecture, it makes it fun to learn. One of those tough love kind of professors though, don't expect an easy A. Study study study!

FLASHCARDS HELP! If you do the work on time, you will pass & you won't have a ton of questions for the professor. Take the course seriously, and begin the class with the mindset that you will do what ever it takes to get an A. Work is due 3 times a week:T, TH, Sat. Its usually 2 hours of work due, sometimes 1 hour. Easy course, Great Professor.

Professor Gonzalez was great! I took her accelerated Spanish 1 and 2 in a single semester. Put in the effort and you will pass. Try and cheat(use translators) you will fail. Just study, do the work and be engaged in class and you will do fine.

I took Professor Gonzalez for spanish one and two. There is alot of homework. But as long as you actually study and do the homework by the due date you should not have any problems. On your video assignments practice them before submitting.

Hides assignments, using her course on Blackboard seems like a puzzle. Schedules vhl assignments last minute and even though it's an online course be prepared to take exams at school.

She has assignments due on Saturdays! Her Blackboard is unorganized! It's okay for her to cancel and reschedule assignments is she gets sick but if you need a one day extension she won't do it. Even if her exam was supposed to be posted the day before. If her exam gets posted late we should have extra time! She used too many outside resources.

Let me be quite specific: this is the worst educator i've ever had in my life! DO NOT TAKE her class. The Blackboard was completely disorganized and made no functional sense. She is a terrible communicator, unorganized, vague, inconsistent and lacks an overall sense of engagement. She didn't seem to care if a student succeeded or failed her class.

Great professor! As long as you do your homework, the 3 presentations (super easy presentations), and study you'll do great. Tests were pretty easy and she drops your lowest grade out of the test except the final. Would definitely recommend her as a teacher!
