Comment:

Hes a good person but is horrible at teaching and doesn't realize that the students aren't as smart as him. He kinda expects us to know things without even teaching well. You must learn most of the topics on your own. Youtube will be your best friend for the period you are in this class. I would say don't take his class unless you MUST.

Comment:

He takes most of the class time explaining simple problems that are NOTHING compared to the exams. If you get this guy you better hit the tutoring center as much as you can. There were about 15 students in the beginning but towards the 3rd exam nearly 10 withdrew. I wouldn't have gotten a decent grade if it wasn't for the tutoring center.

He moved so slowly through the material that he didn't have time to teach the last three sections (5.7-5.9). I had to teach myself through the textbook and mymathlab one week before the final. Do not take unless you want to be teaching yourself for the final. He also doesn't answer questions clearly during class so be prepared to teach yourself.

Comment:

Do not take this class, wait a semester to choose a better professor because this class will kill your gpa. Takes off so many points for no reason, spends 30 mins explaining one question in some weird obscure method, and rarely curves the grades. Stay away from him unless you are planning on teaching yourself everything and beyond in math.

Your grade is based on the 3 tests you take + the final. If you fail the final you fail the class. If you do not answer the questions exactly as he wants it he will take off point. If you ask a question, he will spend over 5 minutes answering and he won't stop explaining it even if you say that you understand,

Probably one of the most difficult professors in Baruch. This guy spares no expense in wrecking someone's GPA regardless of anything. Always gives very limited time during exams; rambles on in class that puts half the class to sleep; and doesn't offer a single point of curve. I don't know if it's department policy or not, but I would not take him.

He is the worst teacher I have ever faced. Every other class, I am doing well but this class is awful. He is not a good professor as he doesn't explain things well, will not help you out on any problems you have and rambles on other topics. He takes of points for not writing down an explanation but there is not enough time during an exam.

Firstly, DON'TTAKE THIS CLASS. He takes forever to get a point across. Instead of teaching, he confuses people. Plus he focuses on the most insignificant problems. Whatever you do, don't take this professor.

VERY SLOW! He doesn't go over each question and if he does go over a question, it's one that you already know how to do. Spend the entire class on one problem because he goes on crazy rants that aren't math related. Would NOT recommend!!! TAKES OFF POINTS FOR EVERY LITTLE THING ON TESTS!

This professor is slow and meaningful in his lecture. He wants all students to participate and feel knowledgable aout lecture material. He is a lenient test grader. Study the model final exam early in the class and I guarentee a B or higher in any calculas class.

he's not a bad person, but is a bad professor. His average is a C and doesn't curve tests. The highest grades on the tests were 78, 85 and 80- highest grades in the class. Don't take him if you don't want your GPA to drop.

I was thinking about dropping this class for sure because it was really hard. Professor took off points for not using the multiplication sign that he liked.. Avoid him completely. I got a B+ but I had a tutor and studied and prepared a lot for the final and tests.

I don't know how he grade test papers. Even you get everything correct, step by step, show all work, write out a reason, he will always take points off. No one understand how he grade the test, and he draw on our test paper, so it made us impossible to read. And he always make easy topic complicated. Most challenge class ever took.

If you want to improve your skill, take him. He's hard, but your skill will improve after you pay attention, do his homework, do whatever he told to do. But, if you try to get some easy A or easy class, get away from him. Your math background will get improve from him.

Hardest class I have taken! Im good at math, yet I found myself NEEDING to go to SAAC and have a bunch of tutoring sessions. The first test and even the second are okay. The rest dont reflect what he teaches in class, or the HW's! It was definitely an UNFAIR class especially since he doesnt teach!! Lots of outside work. Nice guy! but bad teacher!
