Great professor. Study guides are accurate to the tests and you can retake them if you score below a 75. She will help you improve your grade. Would recommend taking.

Comment:

Upsides: Lots of homework, but does it all in class with you. NO MYMATHLAB! Textbook is a cheap rental. Only checks to see if you actually did homework, no q-by-q grading. Downsides: Frequently messes up examples. Suffocatingly boring, esp. during summer. Verdict: Take this class if you suck at math and want an easy pass. Try not to fall asleep.

Focuses on the meat of the subject. Gives a lot of homework but does most of it for you in class. Teaching style isnt too clear and gets confused on her own problems. Study guide provided for every test and allows retakes. Turn in your study guide and homework for extra credit. Shes available to everyone who has questions. Sweet lady.

Great teacher. I struggle with math. The way she explains things makes it easy to grasp. She give you good foundation. Uses study guide and lots of homework. Works well for learning the material. She is a very nice person.

Mrs. Rhodes is a very kind instructor who puts her students success above all else. Her lectures are very straight forward and easy to understand. She prepares her students for tests better than any other professor I've seen, and lets you retake any test again if you fail. Highly recommended if you struggle with math.

I have her for two years, and all of my classes, I got A, B. She practices with the students before taking a test. Cares about the students, and make every effort for students to past the class. Participation in class is important for her, generous, and as a human being a great person. Nice professor. You will not regret.

She is very helpful and understanding that students have other responsibilities, therefore very fair on attendance. Homework is extra credit, study guide is same as exam itself, so practice your study guide over and over and you will pass. She is like a mother to the students. This teacher is very nice and sweet but you basically have to teacher yourself. Shes not a very good teacher but her class is super easy. The study guide is the test she just says she changes the numbers but doesnt really. You dont even have to show up much and she drops your lowest test grade. easy class!

Like all classes, you need to study and pay attention in class in order to do well. She help students out to ensure that they pass, by allowing students to retake a test if scored lower than 75%. Study guides are to help those who are not sure what to study. The study guides help a lot!!!!!. She lets us use a calculator. #AWESOME!!!! #TAKEHER!!!

This class was basically a review for me; if you know your math then you'll pass. If you don't, I highly recommend taking another instructor. She's horrible at explaining things but the class is very easy. As soon as she's done teaching for the day, she lets the class out early. I would take again.

Mrs. Rhodes makes learning math easy! Homework done in class together and she stays after class to help you if needed. 5 exams, lowest grade dropped and if you get below a C on any exam, she will let you make it up. Study guides are basically the exams. Textbook not required because she lets you use hers for homework material.

Awesome and thorough instructor who cares about her students and their success. Class participation is mandatory, we had 6 tests each one had a study guide which was just like the actual test, multiple choice, you will need scantrons. She will let you make up any test you need to pass the class. I have math anxiety, I passed her class with a B.

Mrs Rhodes is an awesome teacher, probably one of the best I've ever had and I've been at city college (fresno) for many years now. I'm currently taking her now for math 255 which is elem algebra I believe? She wants you to pass, she is always willing to stay after and help. She is super thorough and will do anything to help.
