save yourselves and do not take her. she is unclear when she speaks and that is all she does through the class. her quizzes and grading makes no sense. 'fill in the blanks' which basically means memorize long poems to fit in whatever word from whichever stanza of her choice.

I'm sure she's a nice person but as a professor, I do not like her. Her lectures are always forced. We had presentations for her class that were meant to be around 5 minutes and she dragged a student in front of the whole class for 30 minutes even though they did everything. She never replies to emails. unprofessional. Just don't even bother 3/3

Some of her quizzes are 3 questions, some 5. basically if you get 1 wrong, you fail. Even if you get the question partially right, she won't give you any credit. She picks on people randomly. Even if you don't raise your hand. I told her about my anxiety and the next day she picked on me, for 10 min, not caring about what I had mentioned. 2/3

I dont even know where to start. Im going to make this a 2/3 part thing. Ive been in college for 4 years and Ive never disliked a professor so much. Do yourself a favor, and dont take her. Her grading criteria does NOT make any sense. She gives quizzes that are 20% of your grade but yet our 7-10 page essay is only 15%. 1/3

She is really nice and her finals are super easy! She will ask you in dept questions about the reading during class, and will call on you if you do not have your hand raised, so make sure you do the reading! The class i was in was boring but i don't think i can blame her for that, the subject itself was just all together boring. Also she dont email

Very disappointing, the reason I've chose this class because it's a requirement for core curriculum. When I registered, the professor section simply says "staff". I chose this because the topic was interesting. Unfortunately, the assignments hardly relates to any of the topic for the course. I had no choice to drop this class!!! please avoid her!!!

The worst Professor ever, don't take her class. Not one student in my class likes her. All she does is talk in class. We never do anything in class and when we are assigned to do a specific type of essay none of us know how to do it. She is a harsh grader and she doesn't write comments to explain what mistakes you made on the essay.

This woman does NOT know how to teach. Everything she says is ambiguous to which she refuses to elaborate on and her grading style is atrocious. All of my peers criticize her before she comes in every class, so this is not a personal problem. She'll take off points for petty things and mark you absent for going to the bathroom. Do not take her.

Completely incompetent professor. I'm sure she is very intelligent but she does NOT know how to teach. ALL of my peers have complained about her unfair grading system, ambiguity, and overall poor teaching. (so it's evidently not just me) I've repeatedly attempted to make an effort to understand her but she simply cannot teach. Do not take her.

Possibly the worst grader possible. She tends to pick on the most miniscule details in grammar that many people would never catch. She failed students completely due to grammar on an essay not to mention her essay rewrite system is extremely tedious. You must highlight changes and write a separate essay explaining why you understand your mistakes.

She is incredibly lenient and understanding. Very nice, and soft spoken. All she really wants to see is attendance and homework being done. She doesnt give much homework and a few essays are done throughout the semester. Overall shes a great professor, i reccommend taking her.

Prof. Vassileva is very knowledgeable, organized and thorough. She is the only professor who did not constantly change the syllabus and/or the assignments. While the subject matter is not so interesting, she attempts to include as many students in class discussion as possible. It's a tough crowd.

Very harsh grader, tries too hard at English language, follows out-of-book guildlines. Recongnizes miniscule errors that other students and even professors cannot. Too meticulous in her work. Essays are simple topics but she expects way too much. Do not try to type like a college student, the simplar your sentences, the higher your grade will be.=(
