My only recommendation is to not take any course with this guy. He is not that good. He will only read from slides and never explain his material well. You will end up learning from online resources since he is not doing his job correctly. People like him should not be allowed to teach students in school. Very bad.

Cool as a person, not as a professor. He's not the best at grading, and he basically just reads slides. He is also hard to get in contact with quickly.

A nightmare. Lectures are absolutely useless; he goes on long tangents that are only abstractly related, spends forever dragging out metaphors for easy concepts and glossing over hard ones. Everything I know about Java I learned from slides alone, SI, or trial and error. Doesn't reply to RIT email. Don't take if you don't want to teach yourself.

He is an adjunct at RIT and getting in touch with him can be a nightmare. He has a sense of humor which is hit or miss. It was a hit for me, though. He doesn't always seem to believe in TIMTOWTDI (There Is More Than One Way To Do it) in his grading.

Nice guy, but terrible "professor". Labs are completely unorganized and borderline irrelevant. Lab due dates and exam dates are terribly announced. He delayed the third and fourth exams, decided last minute to make them take-home tests just to get them done. Googling "PerlBash Reference Sheet" will provide a better learning experience.

I do highly recommend that you stay away from him. He is not helpful at all. I took intro to programming with him and half of the class failed the final exam. Also half of the class failed his last 2 projects due to the hard requirements he gave. Intro to programming is easy class but with this guy was super hard. My advice to you is to stay away.

If you get this prof. I would suggest that you switch immediately. He does not explain things most of his programs crash. For notes he puts screen shots of programs instead of showing you them. During the labs he sits at his laptop putting in grades and he only has 2 hours of office hours a week. Also he said not to use the textbook.

He is a nice professor. Helpful when you ask questions. Grades a little slowly, but is fair.

While his teaching methods are kind of dull, he reads off of a powerpoint, and doesn't normally do many examples. He is extremely forgiving and understanding of that fact that it is a INTRO class. That students will not be high level programmers, and he'll look through all of your code just to try and give you as many points as you deserve.

Prof. can teach well.. but he does not teach up to his potential and is a bit lazy in giving programming examples. His own examples crashes.

Very clear, very informative, knows his stuff. He'll help you until you get the concept, but at the same time he leaves a lot to be desired, especially with the lesser intelligences in the class, if you get my drift. ;) Overall, recommended.
