Kuzmich is one of the nicest people I have ever met, and also one of the worst teachers I have ever had. She is not clear about anything in the language and you basically have to teach yourself because she only explains things in french. homework is all the time but she never puts it up until 9 pm at the earliest. tests are super hard too.

The course itself requires you to do a lot of studying outside of class. There's no way to get around having to buy the online code for the textbook. Kuzmich is a lenient grader, so even if you feel like you failed a paper or exam, she'll find points for you somewhere on your assignment.

Usually late. The class has no structure. She just randomly writes things that come to her. She gives vocab quizzes but doesn't tell you which of the 200 or so vocab words at the end of each chapter she wants you to know. Also, the textbook is awful.

Terrible teacher. Always late, never prepared, 36 students in the class. Assigns busy work that's never graded. In the rare occurance that she gives a written assignment, she will probably never correct or return it. Very unprofessional. and.. You will have her for THREE semesters if you want to learn German.

She is a good German professor, methinks, who is incredibly patient and helpful, and certainly knows her subject well. As for the other comments: her field isn't german culture (that's what the TAs are for), and so what she's always late? Oh, and the busy work is necessary in a language course.

A very caring professor, sometimes a little unclear in what she was saying or with assignments, otherwise a very good professor and person to know. Always willing to help you when you have any questions. Tries to make learning a hard language very fun :)

Took her class three semesters, really easy the first two semesters and I didn't learn much, definitely got a lot better third semester, made the class tougher and upped her expectations but taught a lot more.

She is teaching her second language in her third language. But if that's not enough to deter you, she's always late, doesn't teach well at all, and knows NOTHING about German culture. Her busy work is ridiculous too.
