I love computers and this class curriculum was relatively easy but the professor made it unbearable. He's disorganized and does not have a clear understanding of materials. Sometimes he would flat out teach incorrect information. If you want to truly learn something instead of just pass, try another professor.

To keep it simple - Syllabus was never given or discussed about - There was no specific structure of the curriculum, everyday it was just something new n random that came to his head - No homework or class work -Only had 1 test followed by a redo and the final (I RECEIVED AN 85 ON THE CLASS FINAL BUT WAS STILL FAILED WITH A D) !!

people say hes not a good teacher, but he must have changed because when i took him i got the easiest A of my life. He gives so much extra credit and if you do it you can pass with failing every test. You can easily get an A if you try just a little.

I found the professor to be good. If you don't pay attention in class you will not learn. His tests were based on what you were learning, so it's why I put attendance mandatory. Participating a lot will help your grade! Just pay attention and if you have questions ask them. He prefers you ask questions rather than stay quiet and not learn.

My classmates and I did not learn anything from this professor's class. He is highly disorganizaed. Always unsure of his teachings. He will teach one thing and then say he was wronng the next minute. you can expect this for everyclass. I don't know why he became a teacher. I highly recommend you to avoid this professor.

Like the others here said, Prof. Barbier is a very friendly person and tries his hardest to help you understand when you have questions. Unfortunately, I think he needs to tweak his teaching style if he wants to get his point across to the students. Another thing is that he second guesses his exams, which confuses students even futher.

Here's my own rating. To those who consistently expect that to register is enough for a good grade, don't show up for after-test reviews, don't bother showing up, are on the internet during lectures, are openly disrespectful: Good listening ==> good learning ==> good grades. Or disturb the class and suffer the consequences.

This professor is not focused at all. He can be in a middle of a discussion and change his thoughts onto another topic that is usually unrelated to the course. He blames the books and the students if the class does not understand something that he is teaching. After this semester, I will be taking on-line courses. I rather just teach myself!

Prof. Barbier is an excellent person. He is very down to earth and friendly, you can talk to him about anything and everything. But unfortunately that does not make him a good teacher. He is not the best teacher in terms of clarity and he is not very well at combining subjects. But he IS very motivated in helping the students if they ask questions.

As a person, he's cool, but as a teacher he stinks. He makes these weird examples and jumps around a lot. He's not clear at all. I don't know what that other person is talking about, saying that Barbier is clear and helpful. Not my experience. I didn't learn a thing in his class. AVOID him if you want to learn.

Horrible teacher. So bad that they have to trick students into taking him. Pulled assigned teacher out to put him in. Makes no sense in class and exams are a joke to the school. You get at most most an hour for exams due to the professor not being prepared.

Barbier is the worst Professor I have ever had. By far I've seen better teachers in my day. Barbier spends his time with useless, unprepared lectures on technical dribble; truely a waste of brain matter. He never gives homework assignments, he's late to every class, and talks during exams.
