Not an easy A class like I had originally thought, but I think she's a great teacher and quite passionate about her craft. She's helpful and nice, but you MUST study for the tests, and PRACTICE a lot!! The nerves gets to you a lot, but she's a fair grader and understandable. So you gotta put some work into this class if you wanna pass with an A.

I am a Music Education/Voice major. For a community college, the vocal training you will get in the ensembles and group classes are little, however you learn about song literature and performing experience. As for those who say she is the "worst" teacher/director, clearly you have little to no real musicianship and/or no commitment to your craft.

Had her for elementary piano 1. Easy class, since I already knew how to play. I suggest...PRACTICE! whenever you can. She's a pretty easy grader on the playing tests. Study a lot for the written part.

Mrs. D was very helpful and understanding. I haven't taken any music classes in over 10 years and she really inspired me to learn music theory and to practice piano all that I could. I feel I learned a lot from this class and teacher.

Ms.D is a very helpful person. I don't know who said that she expects your singing to be perfect immediately,she doesn't. And if you had the talent to make it into madrigals, why are you complaining?You should be able to pick out the note,she does give pitches, and the pianist isn't that great

I have taken many courses with Ms. Damaris. I have always found her very helpful. If you respect her you will have no problems. And if you are in madrigals you really should be able to sight read, however she doesn't expect it to be perfect.

Had her for THREE classes ARGH! Self-important and unclear. NEVER GOES OVER PARTS!! Not even ONCE. Expects you to be able to pick your starting pitch out of the air, sight-read your whole part, AND SING IT RIGHT, the first time you ever see the music.
