Great Professor! I had her for women's studies. She really cared about the material and had discussions not lectures. Assignments were very easy to do and she let us out early a lot. Definitely recommend her!

DO NOT TAKE. Had for 815 and she is the most annoying teacher i have ever had. She tries wayyyy to hard to dumb down the material, she once spent 20 minutes comparing beyonce and a character. She gives random reading quizzes all the time and only has a few real assignments. Nice person, knows her stuff, but terrible teacher.

Although she is very disorganized, her class was upbeat. She goes over things until she is sure everyone knows what she is saying. In turn we fell behind about 2 months-so she cut out assignments. Not too difficult but not too hard and you can tell she loves the material. I'd take another class with her easily.

I loved this class. she is an awesome teacher. you can tell she loves the subject matter. shes so enthusiastic and fun. i actually enjoyed having her as my 8:15 class!

Awful! Tried too hard to get us to like her - very annoying. The class was boring - pretty much all we did was analyze poetry. She was constantly late to class. She is a total pushover and a very easy grader - will not challenge you at all. Overall, not a very good professor.

Loved the class. It's a VERY lax atmosphere and the work is not difficult at all if you take decent notes. Instructor makes the class extremely interesting. She has lots of insight that doesn't necessarily come from the text. Always willing if you need extra help. Class outline may seem a bit much but it's tentative- extremely tentative.

I thought Alix was a nice person but I found her to be a little young to be teaching college students- she seemed to want to be one too much. She cancels class a lot, which is good, is constantly late to class, which is also good, and is not a hard grader at all (I literally did all of my papers the hour before they were do and she gave me an "A" on all of them.) If you want to be challenged intellectually, DO NOT TAKE HER CLASS. If you want an easy grade, go right ahead and take it.

she's an airhead and really really happy and perky. her notes were jumping all over the place, my notebook was full of arrows and hard to organize. she never told us our test scores from the midyear, so i had no idea how i did or if/how i should change my style for the final.

interesting and amusing teacher. showed up close to 15 minutes late for every class. grades papers decently, is very approachable for help when needed, cares a lot about student's understanding and motivation. she seems a little unkempt but it's just her personality.
