Rude "professor." Does not set a good example for students in search of an academic role model. Poor attitude! I absolutely did not enjoy his class, not one bit. Certainly do not recommend him.

Comment:

Great person, great professor. Very personal and caring. Does not invest time or effort on proofs, which makes his class easy, but it comes on the expense of probably harder entry to more advanced math classes. Teaches for more than 40 years, and perhaps won't teach another semester. If he does - he's strongly recommended.

Comment:

An awesome choice for calculus! Mr. Bollinger is my favorite math professor at El Camino. He made the class fun and included projects for credit as well as the exams. It is a difficult subject so you still have to work for your grade- do the homework, ask questions and you will be fine.

3 projects totaling 75 points, four tests at 100 each, final 200 points. Lowest test is NOT dropped. Professor Bollinger is a good teacher, but grades a little harsh on tests; partial credit is given sometimes, but you won't get much. Tests always have at least one super tricky random problem. Last math project is fun.

He made all of classmates participate in class U will find his amazing teaching method which was fun and helpful 4. Awesome teacher. Funny, and keeps the class interesting. Explains things very well. Makes everyone go up to the board and is very very helpful. Probably the best and smartest math teacher at El Camino.

Comment:

One of the best teachers in ECC. In my opinion he is better than Fry. He teaches everything very clear and he is a funny teacher. He takes people to the board and basically everything on his test, you can be assured that you have done it more than 3 times just onthe board. No curve, but you wont need it if you attend to his lectures.i recomend him.

I suck at math and i only passed this class the 2nd time around because of this teacher.he tries to explain it to you in a way that is different and easy. makes the whole class go to the board at the same time to work out problems. 4 tests drops the worst. he's happy about teaching but sometimes can get a little attitude but always willing to help.
