Not the best teacher I have ever had. Tests are very difficult and she expects you to know definitions word for word basically. Don't recommend taking her class!

Three tests & comprehensive final. There will be no curve, extra credit, or replacement test grade. You're going into her exams BLIND. One of her tests had labeling and she didn't tell us or even tell us the final exam format. This was the hardest bio class I've taken in UNCW. Marine Biology was easier than this. This was a 2 credit class.

I'm a Junior Biology major and this is my first C. I have never worked so hard for a C+ in my entire life. This class is VERY difficult I don't recommend it unless you are required to take it. If you are required to take it I suggest leaving room in your graduation plan to take it again. Good luck!

Her tests are very hard, but come straight from the Powerpoints. If you memorize all of the powerpoints you can do well.

This class really required a lot of work! Lab definately affects your grade. Be prepared to go to study reviews. I went to two before each practical and made an A in lab. Her tests are ridiculous and I studies so much! Study extremely well because she tests on the most miniscule info! I made a B in the class and it took a lot of effort.

Bio 206 is definitely not for people who haven't had bio before, or for freshmen. Tests are super hard and are on very super specific material from notes. There are about 8-10 powerpoint pages of notes a day that must be memorized for her tests. I would not recommend her unless you are prepared to work your butt off!

I thought her expectations were very straightforward...know all the material from her notes and you will do excellent on the exams. I used notecards with the info exactly from her lecture slides and her tests were straight from there, but read carefully! Just memorize the material from her lectures and it is possible to do really well.

This is a tuff subject but she makes it tuffer. She says the textbook is necessary to pass, but do not believe her. She pulls all questions directly from the powerpoint slides.

Her tests are ridiculously hard. Great at biology and studied ALOT but barely ended up with a B. Does give alot of extra credit. Lab doesnt add up to lecture at all but do REALLY good in lab and it will bring your grade up in lecture ALOT. Slides online will get you a C maybe low B. Read book to do good!!

This teacher is definitely monotone and she tries to trick you on the tests. Class is one you definitely have to study for. you can't slack off and expect to do well. The book is not necessary and she posts her lecture slides online which is nice if you need to skip a lecture.

Dr. Wilbur does have a monotone and quite boring voice, but she is still a good professor. She is very knowledgeable about the subject and clearly explains each area. The tests are straight from the slides that she posts online after each lecture so there is really no need for the book. She also gives a lot of extra credit opprotunities. Pretty int

This class is hard, you have to study a lot. Lab is also hard. Wilbur is a bad speaker and has a monotone voice. Tests are right from slides, so no need to get book. Class is all memorization

She is difficult yes but is very clear and helpful. Her notes are very helpful on the test but this is college and you do have to read the textbook to make A's. She offers quiz grades as extra credit and is available to help you after class. Take her if you can!

Hands down, the most boring woman on the face of the planet. She would put a pack of Ritalin-deprived children to sleep. I love biology, I work in a lab on campus...but she is so freakin' hard. I'm an honor student and only have a B...the lab is pointless...we are on arthropods in lab and she's still on sponges in lecture...don't take her!

She's a very knowledgable person when it comes to biology. Yes she's difficult but all the exams come strait from the notes, and in my opinion reading the text is very helpful too if you want to make an A in the class.

Isn't scared to fail over half the class? Since when do professors fail anyone. I have yet to see anyone fail a class who didn't have a failing avg. on tests labs, etc. Dr. Wilbur is very helpful and is a very knowledgable professor. Making a good grade isn't difficult, but it does require some study time. You know study...college...learning...

The worst professor I've ever had. Doesn't care about her students and isn't scared to fail over half the class. No +/- grading...so a 89.9 WILL be a B.

She is hard. It's a lot of writing and notes but most classes are. She's very well educated and if you make an effort for help or ask her she'll help a lot. She's understanding too. The tests are crazy though- you have to read- they aren't that easy. i'm great at bio and i got a b in this class.
