Comment:
Dr. Graziano is my favorite professor in the conservatory, and works harder than any other faculty member on campus. She cares about her students and is always there to help when needed. No complaints. The class is only difficult if you know nothing about music history. It was a lot of information, but probably one of my favorite classes so far.

Dr. Graziano is so sweet and such a great prof! Her class is filled with a LOT of material so be prepared to write a lot. Record her lectures and study everything she says to study and you'll do fine!

Dr. Graziano is soooo sweet, however her tests are difficult. Don't miss lectures because everything she says is on the exams. She is very clear about what she expects and is a fair grader, however there is just so much content on each exam to remember that it is hard to remember it all. Starts studying for the exam a week before and you'll be fine

Graziano is the nicest. She always responds to emails about homework and test questions. She gives u the test questions and homework questions ahead of time, and every assignment is fairly easy. She lets you redo anything for up to full credit. Make sure to write down everything she says in lectures: but if you have questions, she'll give u answers

Great professor! She makes learning music history fun. She is extremely clear with what she wants on all assignments and is always there to help. Her tests are difficult as there is a lot of information to remember for each one but if you just study your notes over and over a week before you'll do fine! Compendium is a very manageable class!!

Graziano is the best. The only frustrating part is that a tutor is required to get an A, or even a B+, in this class. But this class will teach you everything you need to know about Music History, in undergrad anyway.

Her exams can be overwhelming, but as long as you skim through your notes before you go to bed every night, you'll get an easy A. I got a D on her first exam and still managed to get an A in her class, so don't be discouraged. I probably learned from her the most out of any other classes I took at Chapman!!!

Amy is so sweet and helpful. She just grades fairly hard. The topic is interesting and she invites discussion but sometimes things drag in a 3 hour class. The guest speakers are even worse. Assignments are pretty tough too. By all means take this class, you'll love her, just make sure you take great notes and have a lot of patience.

I don't believe I've met a friendlier professor. Graz is very thorough in her lectures, but her "difficult" tests are not unpredictable: it's simply a matter of studying ALL the in-depth information. Graz has a great sense of humor and is always encouraging of her students. Never condescending. Students always want to come back following semesters!

she's a belligerent grader, but an absolute laugh riot and a truly understanding educator. Her crazy personality is key to her getting across difficult concepts and her class is always entertaining - something unexpected for a subject as deep and difficult as this one. You'll enjoy her class, and she'll definately listen to you if you need help.

Excellent teacher, but the tests are killer. She gives you all the materials needed to ace the tests, but the student has to be willing to work to put them to use. I learned so much in this class. She's one of my favorite teachers on campus.

My favorite teacher at this school. Yes she is hard, but her tests are predictable and completely from her lectures. You know exactly what to study. She makes the subjects so enjoyable that a week of studying per test doesn't bother me too much. I learned so much in her classes. She is always willing to help and she wants her students to succeed.

VERY HARD CLASS!! If you have no interest in music, don't take it. If you do, it's a good class. Graz is a great teacher, but the class needs some structural help. Only 3 tests that cover about 2-3 hundred years each (sometimes more). Study and you will pass.

I agree that she is very nice, and energetic, but she expects everything her way. If you try to bring in any creativity or insight to the class she will tell you to do things her way instead. Very hard grader as she expects you to state facts exacly as she says them, rather than more correct ways.

YAY GRAZIANO! Her class is amazing, but the tests are demonically hard. Yet, she is so sweet that it's impossible to be mad at her. Just make sure you study for the tests. This class is great and is definitely worth your time if you're willing to put in the effort. She's awesome.

Take her for anything! She taught clearly and was a joy to listen to. She rates right up in the top 5 sweetest people I've ever known. You do need to take notes and spend some time on your essays, but she is very fair. Unless you totally slack off, you will not regret taking her.
