Teresa Sweet is the best spanish professor I've ever had. She is a great teacher and cares about her students. There is homework due almost every class. The class has a lot activities every day, so just show up and put in some effort. Tests and quizzes are passable if you go over the chapters.

Comment:

Favorite professor ever! I learned so much by her teaching style and never felt dumb when asking questions. She genuinely cares and is very clear about what she expects. She is super funny and made class something to look forward to which Ive never said about a spanish class. I cant wait to take her again next semester!

Literally the nicest woman ever. She cares about each of her students and makes the class so fun! She has you do presentations a lot in groups of 3, but she gives everyone 100% every time. She tells you exactly what will be on each test and quiz and you do online homework through wiley! You will get an A as long as you turn in everything on time!

Lots of presentations with very short notice, but generally easy. shes really caring and wants everyone to do good. makes it very clear what is going to be on tests. definitley one of the better spanish profs, get her if you can!

Comment:

Sweet&caring Tests & quizzes are really easy since she categorizes them by topic. Just remember take notes, study vocab. However, hw is tedious, random group projects & one too many presentations. Most dont even count towards grades. She just does them for fun. But again, very nice & wants you to pass. Still would recommend if theres nobody else.

Professor Sweet is super nice and a great professor. Took her class over interterm so there was definitely a lot of work but she made it fun and was extremely helpful throughout. There are quite a few writing assignments but she provides great feedback and just wants to see every student make progress. Definitely recommend her class!

Professor Sweet is very nice; however, there is a lot of homework that is just busy work. She assigns homework on content she has not gone over in class, so you have to teach it to yourself. Then when she teaches it in class, it is only after you completed the homework so it is redundant.

Professor Sweet is such a nice teacher. She really wants you to succeed and is a fair grader. Expect to read a (fairly easy) novel, write responses to questions about the novel, and do short verbal presentations. She has accessible office hours and she also gives out her number to reach her quicker. Would definitely recommend her class.

Definitely take this class! Teresa Sweet is one of the nicest teachers at Chapman! She explains the grammar concepts very well and teaches at a good pace. In order to get a good grade, you must participate a lot, but she makes the in-class activities fun and entertaining. I would definitely take her again if I could!

Sweet is so great! I've never liked Spanish classes but this different, she's so enthusiastic and genuinely cares about her students' long term ability, makes class enjoyable and I actually looked forward to going! It's fun to participate and the more you put in the more you get out. It's a lot of work but really worth it, + you seriously improve!!

senora sweet is a good spanish professor and her class is run like any other language class. expect to do a lot of book work during class and to do assignments for homework that takes 30 mins max. everyone is required to speak and participate each class but she helps you out if you struggle. i would reccomend to students who have basic spanish skil

Took the class Pass/Fail for language GE, but it wasn't a cakewalk: the course demands a LOT of menial activities, online/paper homework and other stuff. It's a typical language class and she's a good teacher, probably one of the better options, but still a lot more to do than you'd want from a Pass/Fail class. Attendance/Participation mandatory

i love Señora Sweet! She is dedicated, sweet, helpful, and extremely caring. She knows what she is teaching and is very clear when teaching. If you show that you care about the class, then the class is not very hard. You must do the homework, study, and attend class, but she makes the class fun so it is not a pain to attend.

Comment:

Sweet is not hard at all. She is a very kind caring professor and wants you to learn spanish well. She is understanding of spanish learners and always gives good constructive feedback and does not make you feel bad when you mess up. Study for her tests and do the hw and you will be completely fine! skits, movies, and grammar in this class.
