Knows what he's doing and gives you the tools to succeed. But you have to do the hard work (i.e. practice). Doesn't always make things easy to understand, so online resources and/or a tutor can be helpful.

Dr. Guelzow is one of my favorite professors. He is very willing to help and flexible if you can't see him during his office hours. He is also very funny. His classes aren't a free ride - that is why a lot of people don't like him. You actually have to learn the material, not just memorize a textbook.

Excellent professor. Courses are hard and require a lot of time and effort to be successful but they are also very rewarding. Optional: take your final exam mark as your grade for the course if it benefits you. Be prepared to do poorly on midterms and assignments but improve throughout. Very generous with helping students outside of class.

This teacher is very hard to hear due to his accent. his writing on the board is unreadable and you must ask others around you what he said. he goes through math very quick, which make this class extremely difficult if math is not your thing. the exams get easier, because they are cumulative and he may ask the same question on 2 exams. nice man

Spent a lot of time helping me outside of class. The tests were reasonable for the material covered in the course. The material in the course is hard, but he does what he can to help students get it.

Very difficult class because of the difficultly of the grading scale. Class average on all exams were very low. He will move all of the weight of the midterms to the final if you want. If you have to take a computer science course take it with the other profs.

This professor is the worst I have met yet. No help, outdated material and the inability to answer a question without being derogatory make him a prof you must stay away from and who should have been fired a while ago.

Hard course... but well worth it! Dr. Guelzow cares a lot about the students, you just have to actually put effort into your education. Easily accessible and extremely willing to give help if needed. You just have to take the initiative. He isn't going to give away grades. Teaches you to work hard and think about what you're doing. Great guy.

I find it sad that many students rate Dr. Guelzow low. He is very approachable. He may have high expectations, but his challenging courses definitely helped me in the long run. I now work much harder in all areas and achieve much higher grades. His teaching style in MAT200 is appropriate to the goals of the course. One of my favorite instructors.

Do not buy the text book, it is expensive and you don't use it at all. For tests, make sure you study the practice exams he hands out and can do all the questions.

This guy is the only teacher for stats in concordia. He basically should be fired in the middle of the semester, based on how many peaple end up dropping the course. Even the student with the highest mark on the 1st midterm ended up dropping the course. This guy is a hack, and if he was teaching at any other school he would have been fired long ago
