Comment:

Avoid professor at all costs. She tanked my GPA with an introductory course. It is abnormal and appalling that she is still employed. Coursework is pointless, all straight from the book. Tests, too. Harsh grader who takes specifics from the text. Do not take. Not very responsive to student complaints or feedback.

If you are thinking about taking one of her classes, do what ever it takes to get out of it. She is by far one of the worst professors Iv ever had. Very disrespectful to students, never responds to emails, unorganized , vague often nonsensical direction with harsh grading. Its an insult to the institution that she is allowed to teach here.

Please do not take her class. She is not clear on what she wants and rarely give a grade above a 3.0. Show up to class 5 minutes late more than twice and you will receive a hefty penalty. Please please please DO NOT TAKE THIS COURSE.

She is a really caring person but a horrible teacher. I go to her office hours and she kinda helps but otherwise you are on your own. Her tests are excruciatingly hard and she flat out told me she rarely gives out a 4.0. Avoid this class at all costs if you can, and if you cant I'm so sorry.

Took for message design. Lectures are done at a sixth grade level, but the actual material is hard, especially difficult because I had no prior experience to go off of an the book didn't always make sense. She doesn't really teach. Quizzes seem to pick out random trivia from a 50 page chapter rather than focusing on an important point. Don't take

Professor Mrvica spent a lot of class time going over broad concepts from the textbook, which made for dull classes. The projects are questionable and she is oblivious to the lack of work being done when in groups. Tests were meaningless for the most part. As long as you pay attention and stay on her good side, you'll pass, but seriously avoid her.

Awful Teacher. Treats her student like kindergartners when trying to explain the book. ends up making the material more confused. Quiz question are so ambiguous that when our class wasn't allowed to use our books on our quiz the entire class failed the quiz. Grading system also confusing so you have no idea what grade your getting.

I regret not looking into this professor prior to taking the class. I had her for Message Design my first semester in college, and dare I say, she singlehandedly nearly made me drop out of college. I wish I'd dropped her class. You will likely learn nothing in this class. She one time argued with me that Carbon doesn't exist... I'm sorry, what?

Every single question on her tests &multiple choice activities are trick questions that rely on the student knowing minor details from the book instead of main themes. One time we got into an argument about lighting and she basically told me the textbook was wrong, even though she lives by it in her class. Avoid this teacher AT ALL COSTS!!!!!!!!!!!

She is an incredibly inconsistent grader, assignments make little to no sense, and she plays outdated VHS tapes for lectures that she often has trouble even trying to get to work. Be nice to her though - she has a spot in the internship department...

I unfortunately had to take her Message Design class and she was one of the worst teachers I have ever had. For starters, she is in the comm media department and does not know how to work any technology. She barely teaches anything and if you do learn something its from her 1970s VHS tapes that you watch. She is not clear with instructions either.

Quiz answers not taken from the book, expected to know things not in the book. Test answers are often tricky and require extra thought, convoluted. Prof is unhelpful and wishy-washy, just plays videos and doesn't know material very well. Avoid this prof at all costs, but if you get her, be nice, she's on the Internship board for Comm majors.

Wrote a three page paper, single spaced with an 11 pt font, times new roman. The assignment called for two pages, double spaced. This was the best essay I've EVER written. Only got a 3.0 because she decided to grade it like an english professor.

hummm she wasn't that great of a professor i really didn't learn more. SHE HAS A PLACE IN THE INTERSHIP DEPARMENT be nice even if you don't want to (it'll help). she did let me borrow a book from her so i didnt have to buy one. I'm buys my own copy so that i can study by myself.
