They say the cream of educators rises to the top at Temple but Mr. Waskie proves he is the exception to the rule. If you want an easy A+ this is the teacher for you. His curves go into sub orbit and he does not check any, if given, homework assignments. His take home tests are a joke he encourages students to work together on them.

Dr Waskie is an interesting professor. Once you crack his method of teaching, his class is extremely easy. His knowledge of German is boundless but often he wastes class time talking about it. It's difficult to practice speaking in his class but his comments on papers is extremely helpful. You must remember that you are in charge of your learning.

Oh my God this is the worst class ever. He teaches the capstone classes for majors. He is an incompetent professor, can't speak German to save his life, and conducts his classes like he's the Führer. All we do is post BB Discussions and listen to each other drone on without learning. He interrupts every other second to add his bizarre knowledge.

Dr. Waskie is a phenomenal professor and great guy. He takes interest in his students and makes sure you have the best opportunities to succeed in his courses. Take advantage of the summer Leipzig program...he went with our group and it was the best experience I have had abroad!

Totally useless if you're actually trying to learn the language. Great guy, very friendly and very knowledgeable, but he goes off on tangents far too often in class. Only take his class if you're looking for an easy A in a language course, definitely not if you're trying to get a solid understanding of the basics of the German language.

A very easy class, all the tests are "take-home," the homework's answers are all in the back of the book, and the final is open book. I recommend this course only if you are trying to fulfill core, and not if your seriously trying to learn german.

A complete fool! "Homework" is never discussed or checked. Took 2 of his classes and they were each exactly the same. You learn nothing you outline a section of the text and present it to class each week but you cannot understand half the presentations because our German is terrible because all we do is give bad presentations. Interupts incessantly

prof waskie is a great professor if you're really interested in german like myself. There's nothing he won't do to help you. He speaks german 90% of the time in class however, so expects you to be doing hw to understand what the hell hes saying. Extremely easy workload too.

WHAT THE HELL IS THIS MAN SAYING? He rambles on for the whole 50 minutes about nothing, and no one really has any idea what's going on. The work itself is absolutely ridiculous, it is a waste of time. He is however extremley easy. If you want to actually learn something, take anything with Devinney!
