Very interesting professor & class (Ancient Egypt). I had trouble w/ tests, b/c she bases it ALL on her books that she expects you to read & take copious notes on every little detail. No homework or papers, just a quiz, mid & final. BUT, if you participate in class it helps. I bombed the quiz & mid, still got an A,probably for participation! lol

She is an amazing teacher, I learned more that I could've ever expected. If you want to pass the class you have to attend, TAKE NOTES and study for the tests. She gives you a give and you can also bring notes to class. amazing class!

i took two classes ancient Egyptian history and another one she was rude and bad at teaching. she forces you to read her books that have grammar errors on every single paragraph and its extremely unorganized! DO NOT TAKE HER!!!!

INCREDIBLY HARD. I am a history buff and hated this class. Exams are OPEN NOTES (not open book) but you literally must hard write notes from the text for them to be useful on the 2 tests. Always bragging about how much she knows. Lectures are basically useless and textbook is HUGE! Avoid and take another class to satisfy your requirement.

She allowed you to use notes on the test and offers 10 pts (5% of your final grade) of extra credit. She is very knowledgeable and if you go to class and take notes well you can get a B no problem. If you read the text and really pay attention you might be able to pull off an A.

Don't listen to these people who are saying this class was an "easy A." That's total bull. She's incredibly prideful, always bragging about how much she knows. She has little respect for students, but has her favorites. The exams and essays were very unclear, resulting in A LOT of stress. I'd avoid this class if I were you.

2 tricky passable exams 2 essays on museums, not research papers just giving your opinion. You can turn papers in early and get them corrected ahead of time for easy A. Attendance mandatory she WILL drop you if you miss more than 3 classes. Very knowledgeable and interesting. Shes not hard, you have to show up to class, fun easy assignment, no hw

shes not clear about her assignments and she sucks at teaching. all she talks about is trips she took and what she did she shows us things that arent even on the exam she doesnt give any direction on exams so its either completely random or half the exam is on one subject i do not recommend you taking her. she has absolutely no respect for students

This was an easy A. There are two papers due and two exams that are open hand notes. She gives study guide and you write every definition out and use them on exam. The papers are pretty easy as well and you get to go the Museum of Modern Art and the Egyptian exhibit in the Museum of Man. Just do the assignments and take notes and your good.

I took the History of Ancient Egypt, and I really enjoyed it. she is very knowlegeable, and I learned a lot in the class. it's also very entertaining to watch her cut down the one person in your class who always asks the stupid questions. very straightforward tests. piece of cake class if you do the light assigned reading.

Do not bother asking the woman a question because she will be sarcastic and will NEVER give you an answer, so expect to be on your own. I attempted to go to her for assistance with an assignment and all I received was very harsh, negative feedback. I quote her by saying she is a "very BLUNT person."

This class was pretty easy. Most of the time we looked at slides for the entire class period and took notes. She would always bring in Egyptian related items such as jewelry, papyrus and clothing. She goes to Egypt just about every year, and has lengthy descriptions of her trips. She is also an Egyptologist.

By far my favorite teacher this semester. She was clear and I liked the field trips she assigned. There are 2 essays that go along with the field trips but they are EASY! She lets you use notes on the tests and brings in artifacts from her collection. I loved this class and wish I could take more with her!

yes, i have to agree she takes favorites and yes those stupid trip of hers. she wasnt so helpful at all. i had to read the book and tried to understand it myself. if you ask her a question, she can be really sarcastic...don't recommend this professor at all unless you're willing to suck up to her. goodluck
