Comment:
Psychology of Human Adjustment was not an overly difficult course. Besides the huge behavior modification project, there were only two homework assignments. I tended to get bored after listening to him for awhile.

When Dr Lyons teaches. I listen, He is very helpful. Sometimes hard to understand, if you take a moment, and ask questions he clarifies

He is very helpful and willing to spend time outside of class to explain material. If you study and put in a decent amount of effort in your work, you will do well in his class. Most important thing is to pay attention in class and read the book. He remains in contact with students even after the class is over. Is helpful even with outside topics

Bitter, sarcastic man. I did pretty well in the class, but it could have been taught much much better. He made simple mathematical mistakes in the class all the time, which made the already-challenging material even harder to grasp. Perhaps he would be better in a class that did not involve math like PSYC 211 does. He cannot explain math at all

This was the worst class I've had so far at Moravian. He goes off on boring tangents and doesn't teach anything. A complete waste of time.

Also had him for PSYC 105. He really loves class participation/discussion, but doesn't do a very good job of setting it up since he's mostly notes and lecture oriented. He has his favorite students, so if you're outgoing and talk a lot (regardless of the quality of your input), you'll do well. Overall he does know his stuff and is well-prepared.

Avoid this class like the plague. He didn't even show-up for the mid-term exam...but sent his son in his place. Then, when his students fall short on deadlines he gives them zeroes. At least we showed up for the mid-term!

Art is a great teacher if you give him a chance. He absolutely cares about his students and wants to see them succeed. YES Stats is hard, but he takes the time to teach it. Humantics is the best, you must take this class and learn about yourself.
