NOTE!!! For this class make sure you study all disk/circular problems that are either listed from the homework or practice problem examples. He loves using the same ones on all his exams. Study the ones that pertain to the exam material. There is at least one question with a disk problem on each exam!! Hope this helps. Good luck.

Anybody who doesn't think that this dude is a clown are kidding themselves, smart guy but can't teach to save his life. His class is absolutely agonizing, be prepared to actually learn less every time you attend. This university needs to get a entirely new EE staff honestly, but this guy in particular is straight up ass.

EE 221/ EE330 Worst professor I've had at UNR. Starts the semester off bragging that he's failed students. Ask a question that requires knowledge beyond what the textbook covers? Can't answer. Belittles question asker. Teaches 2 classes that are required for the major and he's the only one teaching these. Pick a different major, or a different UNI

Overall a fantastic professor, cares for his students and is always willing to help. Make sure to understand the homework and study the chapter examples so that you'll get that A. And if you know anyone who has previously taken the course, help from them is a big bonus.

Attendance is mandatory, not only because it's part of your grade but because the conceptual questions in quizzes and exams are explicitly stated during lecture. Best thing to study out of everything is the chapter examples (highly emphasize this), as it is a very likely candidate for at least one of the problems on his exams.

Quizzes can be tough but if you review, you won't have an issue. Tests can be extremely challenging. However, after a few classes and tests, its fairly easy to guess what will be on the exams from notes and homework. OK lecturer, really cares if you understand material

Dr. Rawat is probably the best in the UNR EE dept (not that that's hard to do). Tough but fair. Expects maximum effort. Be patient through his long derivations, focus on getting down the equations are relationships he's arriving at. Tests are open-book, but no notes. Thick accent makes lectures tough, but examples are available online afterward.

I knew what was expected in class. I'd heard many stories of Circuits II being impossibly hard, if you study you might get a C, that sort of thing. But I think what's happened is that, I noticed this before too, many people either get circuits or they don't. We didn't do anything crazy complicated in the class, and it wasn't unreasonable.

Everyone complains about Rawat. Some of it he deserves, but he's one of the best professors in the EE department. He's just really really tough. Don't ask stupid questions unless you don't mind getting lectured in front of the whole class! Lol! Tip: study your bottom off and go to his office hours. You'll do fine. I slacked and it hurt my grade.

Don't understand other reviews. Tests were open book and directly from examples he posted solutions for. His excitement can come off as anger when he raises his voice, but really he's happy. Wants students to do well. Very fair grader. Always willing to help. Went in thinking he'd be horrible; he proved me wrong. Great professor. Study examples.

Horrible! His grading is completely inconsistent. He can only explain the relevance of something if it's in the textbook (which has little application of theory). He will argue his replications of notes on the board with students, even when they prove them wrong from the text. Good subject, horrible teacher, and no other option. Now suffer.

Terrible teacher. He rambles incoherently while scribbling down derivations. He refuses to curve anything, even if everybody makes the same mistake (reflecting his failures as a teacher). He belittles students when they ask a question, and won't help with the math if you're confused, instead he'll say "Go talk to your math teacher" and move on.

I loved this class. He was a tough professor, but probably the most fair teacher I've ever had, plus he loves the material. I would reccomend if you're actually trying to learn something, otherwise he might not be suited for you

Avoid him like the plague. His class always takes too long, hell have a smartass remark for every honest question ("You must be here both physically, AND MENTALLY!" was common when you ask for clarification on a topic was a favorite).

I've had Rawat for both 221 and 330. He's a horrid professor and never curves. He yells at you for asking questions, expects to to remember footnotes of all the calculus classes, and often states that the reason Americans are bad at math due to women teaching it. He never will tell you what is on exams, he'll take off points for the right answer.

I'm not sure if this guy has any real-world experience. He rambles on in front of the board with everybody watching in confusion. The book he chose is probably what he learned from, as the author died some years go. Spends so much time making confusing statements on theory that you never learn anything useful. Wish somebody else taught it instead.

I had Rawat for EE221 and EE330 in the same semester; BY FAR the most difficult and strict engineering professor I've ever had. Doesn't EVER curve, even if the class average on an exam is 48%, not to suggest he isn't a good professor; smart man. He will make you work VERY hard and will not give As and Bs unless you pour your heart into the course.
