Barbara is an amazing woman, granted she is of a liberal mindset, but what college prof isn't? She's open to other's ideas and fosters a lot of unity in class. Only downside, she'll want to get to know your opinions and put you on the spot when you might choose to remain quiet. Overall, blends her knowledge with book well. You'll learn a lot!

Easy class but VERY boring. Reads from the book the entire class...unless you are doing very elementary class activities. Take this class if you don't mind not learning anything and being bored outta your mind.

This class was easy..open book tests..you have to do 3 five page papers about movies but they arent that bad really...One of the easiest classes i have ever taken and i actually learned a lot too.Highly recommended.

She is interesting. She reads from the book and gives high points on what to expect on the open-book exams. There are three required papers which require some outside work. Also, come to class for class participation points. Overall, she is a pretty good instructor with very liberal ideas.

willing to help as much as possible. understanding of individual circumstances. not afraid to speak her mind. encourages others to speak up. I don't agree with everything she believes in, but she is a great teacher - one of the best I've ever had.

Barb is the greatest! I learned so much from her. Made me much more confident in my choice to become a social worker. Helped me out a lot with my transfer to FSU. Great sense of humor also! (= Take her for your SW classes...she knows her stuff.
