Very kind professor. Sit near front of class because she dose not talk very loud. Go to class if you want to make studing for exam easy. Tests are based on the readings. Didn't like the class at the beginning, but by the end of the semester I enjoyed it.

Professor Wallach is such an amazing teacher. She's really passionate about the subject. She is a little quirky but that just adds to her charm. Her classes are very hard so don't expect an A without trying. But she will work with you if you are having trouble. Make sure to read and to study a little in advance because there's a lot of material.

Comment:
Professor Wallach genuinely cares about her students, as is frequently available via office hours for any help that you might need. This is fortunate, because her lectures are rather difficult to sit through and get a lot of useful information, as her system for lectures comes from the 1800s. Her tests can be rough if you are not well prepared.

She only uses a projector and Elmo- no powerpoints. She puts all the note handouts online before the each class which helps with notes, but a lot of the handouts are questions, so you need to go to class in order to get the notes needed. There is a lot of reading, but if you do all the required readings and study the notes, the tests are decent.

She is the nicest teacher i have had thus far. Dr Wallach makes it a priority to get to know all of her students. She knew my name before i knew hers. Its a challenging class, and spelling counts, but she is always available to help!

Dr.Wallach is the best professor I've had in college so far. She is very kind, smart and understanding. If you get the chance to take a course taught by her, take advantage. She keeps your interest and truly cares about all of her students. As long as you review the notes before tests and quizzes, you should do fine.

Profesor Wallach is very very nice and very old school. She uses a overhead projector so there is a lot of note taking but the tests for Roman Culture 2200 were super easy. I passed with a high 90 and wouldnt doubt if other people did to.

She is one of the kindest professors I know. She keeps her information interesting, and her grading is very relaxed-- she will often let you resubmit assignments. She is one of the few professors who I feel cares about her students both in and out of the classroom, regardless of how well she knows you. Very understanding.

I'm currently taking a writing intensive class with her--Murder&Mayhem, et al--and she's awesome. It's tough but totally worth it. She is incredibly helpful and interested in student learning. You can go to her for anything. Great teacher. Super fun.

I have had Wallach for (at least) four classes and she is exactly what a professor should be: kind, caring, intelligent, funny, understanding, and organized. Readily available in office hours for help re: her course, your career, or anything in between.

I have her for Roman Culture as well. It's true that we do take a LOT of notes each class period, but her quizzes and tests are really easy as long as you read through the notes a couple of times. She also gives a lot of extra credit options. This is one of my favorite classes becasuse she makes the material really interesting and fun.

I have her for Roman Culture this semester. I have had her class for 3 days and I'm considering dropping it. She speeds through the slides in her lectures and its hard to get all the notes written down. I also take about 3-4 pages worth of notes each lecture. There are 4 books for required reading. There is one midterm, a final, and 4 quizes.

One of the coolest teachers I have had. She is so cheery and optimistic at every lecture. She was recently given the Kemper Award. Very well deserved!
