Smart and engaging prof. Focuses solely on the religious and cultural histories-covered early medieval history with nearly no mention of military or political history of any kind. For a foundational base of knowledge of Medieval SOCIETY, take her course.

Comment:

I needed a humanities credit for an elective and chose her course. I really liked medieval history and she knows a lot about it and it was interesting to listen, even if her freestyle lecturing went in circles. The problem is if you need help from her or the TA's. Either find another way or drop the course. And heaven forbid you disagree with her.

Comment:

A unique prof. w/ her own quirks. Course is structed in a way for students to do well. I did very well in the class and paper, however; she expects you to find your own help, don't expect to see her much in the 2nd term. In short she is good, and I would reccomend her to future students.

I didn't like her at all. I did well in her class, but I thought that she was rude and insensitive to some classmates. I found that she was lacking in social skills. She seemed to me to be a little strange.

I think she'd like her job a lot more if there were no students. I always felt like she was a little scared when she came into a room with students. The comments about how Christianity finds its way into her class are true, but how else can you possibly teach Medieval History?

She was extremely unclear and disorganized in some of her lectures. This wouldn't be such a problem except if you approached her with a question you were rather rudely brushed off. My main comment? Flighty ****.

Dr. Kaczynski is a very entertaining professor. If you can get past any inhibitions you might have regarding the rise of Christianity (which when you think about it is quite fundamental to the periods of study!!!), you'll enjoy not only her kindess and quirks but also her effective teaching.

Dr. Kaaczynki's way of teaching in the seminar makes it interesting to be there. I found the seminar open and very interesting. We were all friends and I really enjoyed that. Dr. Kaczynski is a very passionate and open Professor.

Only helpful as long as you do not disagree!Although enthusiastic about her subject matter, one quickly sees she is far more judgmental, biased and closed-minded than she lets on.Far too much on religious trends while practically ignoring anything else.

Spent way too much time on obscure details and then glanced over the Hundred Years War in abour 5 minutes...also it was the hardest exam ever that included a question on that very war!

Dr Kaczynski seems to have her head in the clouds. She is of no help at all as she can't undersatnd why you wouldn't be able to understand what she is teaching. If you get something wrong, her common response is "can't you see what you did wrong?
