Avoid this professor. I quite fond of this subject and could not have had a worst time in class. His class is not coherently organized; he preaches his own values and personal opinions instead of delving into the richness of the Carib region. The best class was the one where he showed a movie. His grading method is also incomprehensible.

He is the best professor that I have taken. All of these bad reviews are misrepresentative, mostly because these kids are lacking the proper intelligence to take a class with such a dedicated professor. If you put in effort to listen to what he has to say, his accent is not difficult to understand.

Prof. was very unprofessional when asked why every time he mentioned a specific country he only had negative things to say. Didn't allow student to speak and became very defensive. Extremely inappropriate reaction.

Nice guy but not much of a teacher more of a historian,very unorganzied and we never knew what he was up 2 or saying. Confusing grading policy, basically final is worth 100% and everything else is extra credit.

It's amazing how quick people are to dismiss professor Thomas just because they disagree with his politics. These are usually the types that think political science means bashing America. Professor Thomas is refreshing and engaging. Pinkos should stay away.

I am not too fond of this professor because he speaks to you as if you know the subject matter, and if you indeed to question it, he'll shoot you down for any sort of inquiry. The test was not hard, but you don't know what he's looking for. You may write the right answer, but he wants brevity, and no fluff, so he'll mark down.
