Blake is the best proffessor I have EVER had. I learned so much USEFULL information in class. There are quizzes everyday, but don't stress. If you read the notes on website and watch videos they are easy. The class is straightforward and clear. Blake is fun and aproachable. Pay attention, do assignments and you'll be fine. Highly recomend his class

Blake Barron is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He is so passionate about biology and make it so that you will be too. His lectures are so amazing and full of energy. I definitely recommend going yo the pal sessions, they help a lot. You will need to study a lot outside of class (many hours) but Blake will inspire you to want to do well.

Blake Barron. Is a biology god. His lectures are amazing. I know the class seems VERYYY intimidating, however anybody can succeed in this course! You will get a high score as long as you stay on top of your taxonomy, attend PAL sessions (active participation is key), take amazing lecture notes (as detailed as possible), and form a study group ASAP!

Blake is the best teacher I have hadnt in my college experience. I took all three of his courses and loved the material. He outlined what was expected of you, and even though it was a lot of work it was manageable with a heavy schedule. He truly cares about the subject and his students and will go out of his way to help. BMS136 was my favorite!

Blake has so much love for teaching and for his students. His shirts even match the theme of lab days and he makes the class so enjoyable, where you don't want to miss out. Almost every lab day we would dissect something and he is super clear on what parts you need to know and study. There's A LOT of memorization for this class, but study hard! ILY

Blake has an amazing understanding and passion for his subject, and he very much wants his students to succeed. The exams can be difficult, but attend his review sessions and you'll be good. His humorous attitude and respect for his students makes his lectures so much more than reading slides off a projector.

Best professor ever. Blake is the man! He really connects with all of his students and makes this class enjoyable. The subject itself is difficult but Blake does a great job at helping you through it. He is a huge help inside and outside the classroom. 100% would take him again.

The class is dense & requires a lot of work but Blake helped make it interesting! He offers a variety of resources & will always help if you're struggling. You can tell he's passionate about what he teaches & it made me become more interested in the material & actually want to learn not just memorize. One of my favorite teachers!!

Blake is the best teacher I've ever had in any science course I've taken. Being a bio major I've taken quite a few, and I've tried to take as many as I can with him. His Biology of Human Sexuality Course changed my life and my career path. Very straight forward, you know exactly what to expect. I'm very grateful for my time with him.

Blake is by far the BEST professor I've every had in my educational career and I will be genuinely surprised if I come across a professor in the future that changes that statement -Passionate about what he teaches -Easy to talk to/ask questions -Wants you to succeed (provides so many resources and study guides..) Blake is possibly the best professor that I have had in the two years I have been at SBCC. Blake tries to make his lectures fun by throwing in a funny joke here and there. He is also accessible outside of class and helped me create a new study plan to fight my testing anxiety. Blake is just an overall great professor and great person.

Blake is one of the most inspiring people i've ever met. He gets the class so engaged that learning the material is actually fun! I find that Blake revs his students up and makes them want to learn more. The trick for this class is to keep studying constantly and you will get an A, his test are not that challenging, just know that taxonomy!

He is enthusiastic and knowledgeable, but he is not good at planning his class content. Early on he devoted time to non-bio material but short-changed topics and projects later. His assignment of a very good text was misleading. Late in the term he confirmed it is unnecessary! Tests are long, rewarding speed over thought. Hard work is rewarded.

Blake is the best teacher/professor I have ever had. No Contest. His lectures are incredibly interesting, he's funny, and he gives ample extra credit and extra time to do assignments, so your grade is in your hands. That being said, BIO 102 is EXTREMELY time consuming. If you're not a bio major then you wanna think twice before taking this class.

Blake is a wonderful professor and intrinsically knows the material. He makes you work for the grade but you will honestly learn the material. Hands down one of the best profs Ive had. Do the work (its your major) and pay attention, you will walk away with knowledge and a solid grade. He's also there to help suggest pathways for your future goals.

Blake is one of the best teachers I've ever had. He's a great person and a great techer. You won't regret taking any of the classes he teaches, even the online ones. He is clear about what he expects on all the course work, so as long as you go to class, study, and do as he says you can pass the class. Expect to put alot of study time into B102.

One of the BEST teachers I have ever had in my life. Animal bio is SUCH a fun class and Blake is a really great person to chat to outside the classroom and within the class, he really challenges you to reach your highest potential.

Blake is a great teacher! He knows his stuff and is very passionate about what he teaches. I would not recommend taking this course with another heavy course (i.e. chem) as this class tends to get very busy. There is a lot of homework but it does relate to stuff we learn in class and information on the test.

Blake is one of the best professors I've ever had. He throws a lot of work at you but this class is more about effort and commitment than difficulty, and he always explains everything so well. You learn a lot from him and he's one of those teachers you can go to for anything, he genuinely cares about his students and is happy to help out with life
