Comment:

Dr. Lopez is a sweet lady but gives way too much information on her test! Study guides may be eight to nine pages long and she gives it to you a little under a week before the test. Her quizzes are easy but her test are not!! She gives opportunity for extra credit. Christianity should be made fun and easy not a burden to go and challenging.

Comment:

Lectures are all over the place and only slightly prepare you for the tests. Quizzes daily in which you have to write definitions exactly like they appear in the book. Tests and quizzes are essentially the only grade. Tests are extremely difficult and no study guide is provided, avoid at all costs but for certain classes you have no choice.

Dr. Lopez is a super sweet lady. Her Intro to Christianity class also isn't super difficult. All of her classes are lectures or tests, so there's really no group work or in-class assignments. Her classes also aren't super engaging but that's fine for me.

Dr. Lopez can be confusing when giving lectures, however if you take notes and fill out the study guide her tests are pretty easy. Her test comes straight from the study guide.

I wouldn't say that she's an awful teacher, but she's not good. Confusing lectures. Weekly quizzes. Hard tests that are half multiple choice/half fill in the blank. Sometimes I don't think she truly understands what she's saying because she reaches for reassurance by asking "Does that make sense?" throughout the lecture. Good luck if you take her.

Dr. Lopez is so incredibly easy. She makes it very simple. Show up to class, pay attention in lecture, do the study guides, and you will EASILY make an A. Her test info comes straight from the study guides and people STILL FAIL THE TESTS. Don't listen to people that tell you not to take her. Finished with an A+ with min. effort. Easiest class ever.

I never took notes in class and still made an A in this class. If you study the slides she gives you and the vocab from the chapter, you will make an A on every exam. Kind of boring but not hard at all to make an A

I enjoyed Dr. Lopez for this class. Classes are all lecture and vocabulary quizzes. No homework, just studying. If you study, you'll do just fine. Great elective choice.

Dr. Lopez is very nice but I'm afraid only a select few understand what she is teaching. She definitely knows her material but isn't really bright when it comes to teaching it. She's been known to wander off from the lecture with her stories. In addition, expect to hear "Does this make sense?" after every other sentence.

Expect to hear "does that make sense" about ten times per lecture. She's nice, but requires you to write out vocabulary words for quizzes that she has a TA grade, so right answers are sometimes wrong. Tests are mostly fill in the blank. She's intelligent, but it's hard to follow her train of thought. Would not take again.

Dr. Lopez knows her material but when it comes to teaching OH MY she's just as unclear as she can be. "Does that make sense" her favorite line. You're assigned to read books and 5% is on the quiz every Wednesday. She writes words on the board as notes that don't make sense when you review. If you value your education don't take her.

the lecture is just the book. don't need to buy the book at all. go to every class and even if you don't borrow someone else's notes. She likes to say Does this make sense all the time like she is unsure of herself. Its basically a history class. Sporadic and I think confused about versions of the Bible. She is definitely on the left.

She's a nice lady, just an awful teacher. Her teaching style is everywhere and if you don't already have a pretty good understanding of scripture and basic Christian theology then you are likely to struggle with her class.

I don’t think she is a very good teacher. She is disorganized in her lectures, inconsistent with her expectations, and unwavering in her decisions whether they are right or wrong. I wouldn’t recommend her as a teacher.

Lopez seems like a great person to be friends with but definitely not someone you want as your professor. Her tests/quizzes/lectures are all over the place. I hate that I will fail this course but I'm transferring next year so I can deal with it.

TERRIBLE. Impossible tests and horrible lectures. I am going to get a low grade in a pointless class that has nothing to do with my major, not happy about that. She is also on a very high horse. Outside of class= sweet-heart, but she id by far the worst teacher I have had at this great school.

She was awful. Test were impossible. Only class I have ever failed. She was very nice outside of class and seems to be a nice person. DO NOT TAKE HER if you are not a religion major.
