Very difficult to follow lectures. What's on the homework is not on the test. Makes very difficult to understand concepts. Makes you feels as if you should know how to do the work when its the first time you have come across the problem. Not a very clear syllabus to follow. Does not show short cut methods to solve equations.

DO NOT TAKE HIM. Worst professor/teacher Ive ever had. Just writes stuff on the board doesnt explain clearly at all. Acts like we should already know his material. When the class average on a test is a 46 you know its bad. Youve been warned.

Professor Lamastro might have been the best choice for MEA. Not a lot of great professors to choose from. Has 3 exams, first one was tough but the last two were easy A's. Gives two group projects. Lectures are pointless, but as long as you do the homework you'll do fine on the exam. Allows one page of notes. Overall easy A for a useless class.

Horrible. Worst professor I have ever had. Is extremely unclear, unwilling to help, and makes you feel stupid when you ask questions. Graded on homework and exams. He didn't give back graded homework until a month later so it wasn't helpful. Simplest way to say it- I am a math major and I had to drop his class. DON'T TAKE.

The class work itself is easy for me but its my favorite subject so I wont attempt to judge the material but he is the most boring and arrogant man that ever existed. He actually made me hate the class.. Sorry sir, but you need to find another profession if you are not going to attempt to teach.

He is a super nice guy and very smart.. But I had a tough time following the lectures. watched a lot of videos on my own to re-explain the concepts. very laid back in handing in assignments and he gives partial credit for wrong answers if you were doing the right process.

He looks like george lucas and he makes MEA not as painful as it could be. The only reason i passed is because he is chill as a cucumber.

Chill professor. Goes off on weird tangents during class, but for the most part he's really easy. Nice guy. Easy grader, lets you use your notes for the tests, and is really easygoing. You don't really learn too much in his class, but then again, it is MEA...

This guy made interesting topics into the most boring subjects ever. First off, his voice literally will put you to sleep, especially listening to it for 2 hours. The work is all in the book, which sucks because everything is confusing in there, compared to what he teaches. He will answer any questions and he lets class out early, but overall, no.

Great professor and great guy. Uses a lot of good examples and goes over them in detail. He even went over specifically what would be on the tests and lets you use a page of notes for them. I highly recommend him, and if you want to hear some cool math stories, stay after class and talk to him about the concept of infinity or something.

To be honest, I kinda enjoyed LaMastro's class. He's not the clearest guy in the world when teaching, but he always told us what he wanted on the tests, and was never real harsh on grading. Can also make a cheat-sheet of notes for tests (some MEA prof's wouldn't even let you use calculators, so this was nice). A good guy, and fairly chill class.

Very bad professor. He taught as if the students already new the course work. Very bad at explaining and moved to fast. Gave entirely too much homework and never returned it back or went over it, so you never new if you did the problems correct or not. Test were fairly easy if you studied but the problems were always different from his review.

Not a bad choice at all for Stat I--boils things down to the essentials, in a good way; and you will still learn what you need to do Stat II. The book sucks and he admits it. But he can explain things just fine.

Easy class. Just make sure you don't miss too many days, especially in a row. You'll miss a lot of material and its hard to catch up. Make sure you have a TI-83, he teaches the class around it; and unfortunately he doesn't know what to do with the 89. Your allowed a cheat sheet on the exam. Keep up with the work and you'll do fine
