Amazing! Best professor I have by far. I have taken multiple of his classes and am in Film History 1 now. He is passionate about what he teaches, knowledgeable and especially good with historical aspects of film. If you talk to him outside of class you can ask about his work, which is impressive. Additionally, he is organized and approachable.

This was a class to satisfy Goal 6:Humanities and Fine Arts. Prof Chisholm is easy-going and intelligent. Weekly quizzes and papers on various film topics are mostly common sense. Everyone chiming in with their movie knowledge can drag a bit, but good film selections overall, with the exception of "Gravity." I cannot stand that movie.

He is a solid professor, knows film fairly well, can describe the elements of the art in a scholarly manner. Great choices of films for the class. His class was engaging and changed the way I look at film and film making. Has TAs available if you need extra help. Overall a good course, just wish I had applied myself more in it.

I took a 2 credit class to boost my GPA and it was difficult, being that we only had 2 reports and a midterm & final that we were graded on. I studied hard for the tests and I still got a B or C. Know your stuff extremely well, he is a tough grader! would not take a class from him again.

Approachable, Friendly, and passionate for film. He is open to what students have to say and likes our feedback. His voice is calming yet keeps attention. I took it as an elective and loved it! Probably my favorite class I've taken at SCSU. He's a hard grader on quizzes and papers, gives great feedback. Showed films I had not seen prior to class.

Brad truly has a passion for what he teaches. He puts effort into every class he teaches, and will help any student. He notices passionate and dedicated students, and is very approachable. He'll ask for the student's opinions on things, and is always open to hearing what they have to say. His film theory class is the best one I've had.

Brad is an amazing teacher who has an amazing background and knowledge in Film History! I would (and will) take more of the Film History classes with him. You will need to do some work, but cool thing is you know exactly all the work expected of you first day of class, even gives you exam questions for all 3 exams on first day.

He's a super hard grader on papers but an enjoyable class! It was a long class - 5pm-9pm. 1 hour lecture, 2 hour movie, 1 hour lecture/quiz at the end. There's a quiz almost every class that is based on readings that are assigned every week. Go to class, read your HW, do good on quizzes, and do well on ur papers and you'll do fine. He's super nice.

A real gem and SUPER understanding. Will bend the syllabus & deadlines to help you succeed. He is always nice, never rude!

Brad is a good professor and is unbelievably knowledgeable about film. The class is 4 hours long which gets tough but we always watch a full length movie making it seem a bit less terrible. I had seen none of the movies we watched prior to this class and some of them very very enjoyable (others not so much) but overall a pretty good class.

Taken two of these FS264 classes and they are the funnest part of scsu. Brad is one of the best professors and you can tell he is really interested in genre studies. He took sabbatical a few back and studied comic books! An obvious totally bad ass teacher. Take him as many times as you can if you enjoy movies.

Best professor I've had, will follow him to more classes for my FS minor. Very helpful and approachable, never belittles or anything. A+ PROFESSOR!
