Comment:

Brian is awesome. Hes tough and gives a lot of work with sometimes confusing instructions, but he's so nice and gives great feedback. He's super willing to have long conversations to clear up confusion, and also takes feedback from his students a lot. He gave fun but tough assignments that really pushed me to do better. Fave foundation prof by far.

Brian is a great teacher, seriously respects his students and is always willing to help you if theres something you don't understand. A very understanding person, as long as you work hard you won't have any problems in Brians class. Always funny and brings healthy snacks for the class. A great teacher for some nervous freshman

Brian is a GEM! Genuinely cares about the well-being of each and every one of his students! He will push you hard and make you love and appreciate color theory. Hardest part of his class is trying to understand what he wants you to do for assignments. Ask lots of questions! He loves participation!! Very accepting (gender) and very aware of society.

LCD with Brian is Wild. He's so nice bringing us snacks before class and giving us brakes and stuff, BUT FOR THE LOVE OF GOD I HAVE NEVER UNDERSTOOF WHAT THE FCK HE WAS TALKING ABOUT! He would explain things in such a roundabout way where you have more questions than answers, but if you come to him he is very understanding. LCD is just crazy hard.

BBrooks is a unique kinda guy. He brings us snacks every class and calls our work "sporty" and "cheeky". He's really out there, but he's also funny and a good teacher. A lot of the class is abstract concepts, so it's frustrating but he does well helping with it. Beware of his PDFs, though. He sends 80+ page ones for students to go over for class.

BRIAN IS THE BEST! He was my favorite professor foundation year and this was easily my favorite class. He will explain concepts in a visual thinking way that will make you appreciate everything he's teaching you. He really cares about his students and loves when students participate during crits. Hard work and effort will take you far.

Always helpful and willing to give feedback. Easily the only class I learned anything in during my foundation year. Very nice and encouraging. No matter how critical he is he'll always say good job at the end of the day. Must take!

Brian is one of the kindest people to ever grace the halls of Pratt. On top of the leverage he has on the school, he is artistically open to each of his students as an individual. His course requires hard work, consistency and creativity for a good grade. He brings lollipops, nuts, and carrots to class... a great guy and an even better teacher.

BRIAN BROOKS- great professor and person. Don't LCD bash like every other freshman, BB is awesome and teaching an awesome class that you're lucky enough to be placed into!!! About to graduate and I still think about how great and interesting his LCD class was. Also he's secretly cool and listens to the Talking Heads. A+ way to enter Pratt.

Brian Brooks is amazing. I have been at Pratt for three years now and he was perhaps one of the greatest professors I have ever had. At the end of my freshman year my drawing had improved dramatically. I recommend him to every freshman I meet.

Brian is a very admirable professor; he's very passionate about teaching and actually cares about how much you learn from his class. He's also a very fair grader; he grades you more on effort than on skill. Just keep up with his homework, don't skip, don't be late, participate, follow his tips/advice, then you're totally capable of getting an A.

When I first came into Brian's LCD class last year I was skeptical that I would take away anything useful from the experience... I was wrong. Brian was the most inspirational teacher I've ever had in my life; his methods of teaching expanded my interests and made me view the world through a completely new set of eyes. TAKE HIS CLASS!

I took him for Drawing 1 and 2. He is a fair grader. He is not easy though, but If you work hard, you will get one. He understands the difficulties of students so if you have a problem, don't hesitate and ask him for help. Overall, for me, he is one of the best teachers I had so far.

The first week Brian comes off as really weird, but as the year goes on you realize what an amazing professor he is. I would take this class again in a heartbeat. It's impossible to come out of his class without improving.

One of the most inspirational professors in Pratt. He was extremely helpful, and approached drawing in a way I would never imagine. By far, one of my favorite professors ever, and I would totally recommend him. Don't take him if you don't plan on showing up to class. Attendance is a must, but totally worth it. TAKE HIM
