I can deal with his trouble speaking clear English because it is great considering it is his second language, but he is VERY unclear in his lectures and what he asks for in his assignments. I admire his passion for typography but whenever I ask him a question to clarify, he looks at me like I'm stupid. He also cant remember what he already told you

i like him! i think it's ignorant to say he can't speak, yeah he can be hard to understand at times but that's because he has a heavy accent. i think his english is great. think about how hard english must be as a second language, it barely makes sense.

I really wish he would've at least PRETENDED to care about our projects/work. He does not motivate you at all and is VERY discouraging. His critiques are as helpful as a 10 year old's insights. Even when he's trying to be helpful, you can see in his facial expression that it's not sincere and that he just doesn't CARE. Avoid his class at all costs!

Brian made my life a living hell and he did NOT make me want to go his class every morning! A teacher should make a student look forward to his enlightening classes.. I hope he reads this; or at least any of the staff in the Design program to learn to fire him some time soon..!

if you have a choice, DO NOT take workshop with Brian. He will make your life a living hell. can't teach, can't speak, can't design, can't help. the worse prof you can end up with for workshop, he has the power to make you want to graduate next year, just so you can drop workshop. DON'T TAKE HIS CLASS!!!!

He is absolutely the worse teacher any students can ever have. He said that the school did not paid him enough to teach his students anything (quoted directly from him). Being the head of the program doesn't mean you can abuse your power!

Brian may be a good designer, but he's not a good educator. He lacks the necessary skills of patience, understanding, openness, and - lets face it - personality. His vision is of design is very rigid and corporate; which totally kills creativity.
