She was really unorganized and in a Latino Cultural Appreciation Vs. Appropriation class instead we talked about the 2020 election so I felt that I was in government, not a Latino Communications class. She tries to be funny, but she's nice if you're nice to her and show up. Always stay on top of things cause she's messy.

Honestly this was probably one of the worst classes I have ever taken because of the professor. She is super unorganized, doesn't grade ANYTHING on time, makes you buy a book only to use it in a group presentation, makes you spend money on an app we barely used. Never grades papers on times. You'll never really know what your grade is tbh. horrible

Failed her class because she claimed I didn't turn in my final. Despite providing proof that I turned in my final paper, she never changed my grade and now my GPA is much lower than it should be. Should mention that for the final she allowed for a paper or volunteer hours with a presentation of 5 minutes. I have a full-time job. Go figure

Davila is in one word feisty. Read the readings in order to understand what the lesson is about and take advantage of her office hours so she can help you improve your work if you are struggling.

she is extremely disorganized, she hasn't put anything into the gradebook yet and it's finals week already. You can find the book online. Easy class but it's a draaaggg. TopHat is a waste of money I wouldn't buy if I were you, we don't use it for anything and it is confusing to navigate. Interesting topic, but the class is boring.

the book is only used for your group presentation, she will not teach you anything but you will be tested on the group presentations about the book. very unorganized, you won't know your grade until the last 3 weeks of the semester. the app is a waste of money.

I took this class online over the summer. Really easy and unlike other reviews, she was always easy to contact and she explains everything with what you are not clear about. Easy online work, just do the work and you get a good grade, simple as that, nothing too hard or challenging.

She is not open to other opinions, extremely disorganized, you never know what's due. She's a nice professor, we had good discussions, but not worth risking my grade because she's not clear on her instructions.

You'll never get a hold of her even with phone call or text, she never replies. Don't fall into the trap like I did, unless you can already gotten an certain YES from the organization or program your going to volunteer at. Prepare before hand !!!!!

Easy A class as long as you show up to get the info. She's unorganized, but that often means due dates get pushed back or assignments get cancelled. Assignments can be hidden in the ilearn feed so make sure to check the feed carefully so you don't miss any and ask her in class for the specific due date. Essays are doable and projects are simple.

Don't take her class unless you're ready to be surprised at the end of the semester that you're missing a bunch of assignments that were never brought up. iLearn and midterms were outdated, she didn't bother changing them before assigning them. Awesome person, terrible professor. I have never had a professor be so unorganized.

Not a hard class. She gave us a semester long project which was our choice of an essay or 20 hour community service with journals and a presentation for finals. 2 online open notes multiple choice tests based on power points she puts on ILearn. Plus 3 essay questions for the test which you can get out of doing by scoring high on her Jeopardy game

Amazing person, but her teaching style was just not for me. Disorganized and all over the place. I really like the subject, but just not with her teaching it. Her class was not difficult but for me she was just all over the place.

At first i was kind of hesitant about the volunteer work that was required for the class (it was either volunteer work or a 10 to 12 page essay) but i am really glad i volunteered because i learned about stuff that i never would have learned otherwise. If you put in the time and effort you'll pass the class no problem.

If you're a student who needs their hand held and needs a lot of structure than this class isn't for you. Go to her lectures, participate, and do the work. You'll be fine and come out with a good grade. Interesting topics, passionate about subject, and cares for students learning. She's cool, and found this better than taking US Gov.

Davila is unorganized but she knows the material. She is really bad with telling you whats due so be sure to check iLearn constantly! She will put up assignments and never tell you about it :( You need an iClicker for the first couple of classes. 1 online midterm and final and one easy semester project.

Awesome teacher just a little too unorganized. 20 hours of community service or a research paper. I did the hours because it seemed so much easier - and it was! She gives a lot of fun assignments like a scavenger hunt. One online midterm, one presentation, and an online final. Pretty easy if you ask me.

Passionate & knowledgeable, as well as disorganized, lacking clear structure and unresponsive to e-mails. Enjoyed the CSL opportunity (20 hrs min.) working w/Project Connect. Davila's teaching method has been poor for me.
