My experience with this instructor was just horrible. I think maybe he was taking out what ever frustration he had on the class. There was a student who emailed the entire class and asked if we were satisfied with his teaching and grading methods...come to find out, no one in his class got higher than a C-

By far ONE OF THE BEST. If you go to class, engage with him and show that you are genuinely interested you will do fine. See him in office hours and put in the effort and he will make sure you get the grade you deserve. Besdies that he will give you extra help with test material etc. if you are actually trying. Don't take him for granted, you don't

This is a difficult professor to take online. You will do an essay every other week, as well as mandatory postings during the week. The midterm and final are also essays. I don't feel I learned as much as I could have.

Yall are crazy, Garrigus is a GREAT teacher! Of course you have to attend class, read some stories, and takes tests but he gives you 3 different types of test you get to choose from and he makes the subject extremely interesting! The test I chose was a group format so get in a good, talkative group! I would reccomend him, 1 of the best @ KSU!

I took this class online at GPC. This is supposed to be a History class not English 1102 class. you have to write 5 essays and he grades it like it is English. He grades too hard. I passed the class with a C and a LOT of HARD WORK!

Worst professor I ever had anywhere! I don't think he even read tests/essays-no feedback, just an arbitrary numerical grade on papers. Group essays were assigned when Garrigus was too lazy to teach or unprepared. You can know all the historical data & still have no clue what he wants in an essay!Portrayed all U S military as bumbling idiots!Stay awa

This was the worst teacher I have EVER taken at KSU! I am a straight A student minoring in History and he was just so horrible! from the ridiculous group essays to him blabbing on and on about his "Barbie" wife, this was the biggest waste of time and money. His test are ridiculous and he expects you to participate in almost every class!

By far one of the hardest classes I have taken in college. I did, however, enjoy the class as Professor Garrigus lectured in a way that made the material seem interesting. Group essays were my least favorite part of the class due to the fact that he only gave us one hour to complete them. Final was cumulative.

He is a very interesting teacher; really knows his stuff. Works out of an anthology of sorts with different writings. Very different grading style, you chose based on how you work best between essay, multi-choise, class/group participation, or research paper. You have to work, but an A is not hard if you do the work. Go Packers!

I learned more from this professor than any other class I've ever taken... but his tests are absolutely rediculous. I felt like I aced each test, but the way he grades, I barely passed them. Most people in my class failed them all!!! His grading of the essay questions are impossible.

Great at lectures. He's informative and funny. He brings in the economic and social sides to history. He answers questions during lectures. However, he is woefully unclear in his expectations on the discussion assignments, wants you to do a deep analysis in an hour, uses just a document reader, and seems unwilling to help.

I really enjoyed this class. You get to choose one of three options for the semester. A 15 page paper, two essay exams, 3 multi choose exams or discussion groups. If your a History major choose the paper. He encourages the use of primary documents and I learned a lot from using those.

He's a nice guy and he lets you choose your own syllabus, but DON'T CHOOSE THE TESTS! They are ridiculous! They cover like 200 hundred pages of text each, and you don't discuss them in class at all, and their really specific! Maybe his other syllabi are better, but the tests are horrible!
