Comment:

Professor Camper is extremely sweet and her class is pretty low key so not too much stress.If you want a very challenging teacher then this is not the best course. I was very glad to take her class because she covered all the material and helped with our papers. Her comments were very insightful and helpful since she takes her time grading.

Prof camper had to be the worst writing teacher Ive ever encountered. I am not even done with her class yet nd I despise attending it. She doesnt know what she is talking about half the time and she really cannot teach or welcome anyone elses opinion. AVOID HER. you will regret taking her class. believe me.

Comment:

She only gave back papers on the LAST day of class. She assigned the wrong textbook for our course and never changed the syllabus to comply with new changes. She only took attendance when she felt like it, and made horrible use of class time. I would never recommend her to anyone, in fact she should be reported to the dean. Absolutely awful.

I loved this class, she chose great books with interesting content. I would suggest taking one of her classes, just so you can get the amazing feedback she offers on your writing. Would take all her classes

Comment:

Carol knows her stuff, but she has no sense how to translate that knowledge into teaching. Please avoid her at all costs! Do not take any of her classes because there are amazing profs at Marymount who can teach way better than Camper can ever!

Comment:

Fiction and Cinematic Dystopias sounded great but Carol is the worst teacher I have ever had. She knows nothing of the subject, refuses to hear counter arguments and has no idea how to ask questions to get her desired answer. She takes forever to grade and doesn't provide very helpful feedback. Avoid her if you can.

Comment:

She is very "brainy" and recalls absolutely EVERY other literature (or event) related to the one being discussed at any given time, which makes for long and usually one-sided class discussions. As long as you do the reading and have something significant to contribute, you'll do well in her class.

This was a potentialy interesting class, but Camper just beat the fun right out of it! The class was the most boring I have ever taken! She does not grade easy, and she does not see a reason to make it interesting. I used to count the seconds for the class to end. Don't take her.

Carol is not pedantic, even though she enjoys teaching literary theory, which can be taught in a pompous way if by the wrong person. She is somewhat eccentric, but her content is varied and evokes expansive thoughts, if one only listens! Not bad-looking.
