A very sweet and understanding professor. As long as you read the books and pay attention in class you will be fine. She has a great personality too! It is very clear she wants people to do well.

She is definitely a tough grader. BEWARE OF HER TESTS! Take this class with a few other hours because the reading will take up most of your time. If you can't concentrate while reading, or simply skim the books, you will fail.

Take her if you're a psyc major, if you're not take Dr. White, he's much easier. Tests are pretty hard get ready to study a bunch but she makes lectures really interesting and you'll be able to add to any conversation after taking her. Never actually read the textbook(don't recommend) and made a B- by 1 point. Taking her again this semester

Make sure you do the readings and know specific parts of the readings and everything she says in class. Grades papers relatively easily. The exams are mostly multiple choice but very nit picky. If she knows/likes you the class will be more enjoyable.

For food matters FYE she grades papers extremely hard. She does pop quizzes on readings that are very nit picky. Very sweet and caring though.

She is a great professor and I really enjoyed this class. She does assign a lot of readings, so be prepared for that. Her tests are difficult, specifically the multiple choice section, but the other grades in the class definitely balance it out. She grades extremely quickly and pretty generously and is easily accessible for test reviewing.

Reading is really important in this class. The tests are pretty challenging as well. If you go to her office hours before the test and ask various questions you will do perfectly fine! I also recommend you finish her study guides before each test.

Attendance is required and she usually has assignments due every class period to check attendance. Has articles to read that can be lengthy and difficult. Her tests are concentrated on details. Her lectures are all powerpoints and they can be pretty boring. Interesting lady overall with some experience filled life stories.

She makes a lot of things harder than they need to be but really loves what she teaches. She's really open and reminds you of one of those cougars that go after men in their 30's on TV. Great to talk to, but the class is a lot of work for a few grades.

Class is really interesting and Yoder really loves the subject. But she doesn't treat it like a common curriculum class and there's tons of readings. Often assumes that all students in class are senior psych majors (I'm not either). Tests are a little difficult, but not bad if you do the study guide.

I was miserable in this class. I did not find the content especially hard, but Dr. Yoder was unpredictable. Things would appear on the tests from nowhere, like the test was from a diff class. On the paper, she had many specs that weren't in the instructions. I really regretted taking Lifespan and will not take any more of her courses in the future.

Extremely intelligent, likeable, very engaging, cares a lot about her students. If you have trouble with her exams (they're tricky), go to her office hours and you will be completely fine. One of the best professors at Trinity, hands down. Don't take anyone else for Psychology if you can help it. She definitely knows her stuff.

Class is very interesting but challanging at the same time. There's a lot of reading, and tests can be difficult, but overall if you keep up with the readings and pay attention in class you should be able to maintain a mid-B. She is also very helpful adn approachable.

I love Yoder. She knows about her subject and really cares about her students. If she doesn't know an answer, she'll tell you and then find the answer later and tell you next class. She's hilarious and made a lot of innuendoes to make sure we were paying attention. No essays, but her 4 tests are somewhat hard. Just study and you'll do alright.

Hard class unless you really want to know psychology. I did walk away from the class with some questions answered, and with some things about psych cleared up, but there was a lot of hard assignments in the class. Find an easier prof to take it with.

Some people hate Yoder, but I think she's great! She's a little offbeat, but her class is straightforward and interesting. Tests are pretty hard, so study lots. But she's very helpful if you need clarification outside of class.

Very easy and boring. Hated coming to class. Actually I never went and still got a B. She teaches straight out of the book so all you have to do is memorize. Easy way to get a common curriculum credit.
