Dr. I is a top notch prof at CSUEB. PERIOD. Yes, she is tough but ALL of her courses are designed for upper division bio majors and grad students. Definitely a weed-out class. Study and ask RELEVANT questions. You can't expect to take her classes and pass without putting in effort. Overall, she is very knowledgeable and fair. Wonderful energy too.

pros: I liked Dr. I's emphasis on writing an appropriate scientific paper. Cons: Her lecture doesn't have a speed consistency, sometimes too fast and sometimes too slow. ppts are full of info and unorganized. No quiz so probably u wont be ready for the midterms. She never accepts that she is wrong and she gets defensive.

Does not know her material in and out, like some of the other professors do. Good slides. Tries to keep the students engaged. Defensive when challenged. Tries to evade questions by repeating her unhelpful explanation, when it clearly does not answer the question! Her exams are easy enough, if you study.

1] she gives 20% for attendance.easy pts. 2] i-clicker is used. 10 questions every lect. 3] she provides outlines of her lectures with blanks 4] 5x7 cheat card for every exam. 5]exams curved. i got 84% on an exam. that was the cut-off for an A. 6] always open to questions/comments for anything to increase your learning.

Her exams are tricky and doesn't even pass them back so you don't know what you got wrong. I thought the labs would be cool, but they were so boring (doing worksheets on a computer software)! When she lectures, she doesn't explain things and uses a lot of abbreviations (she just expects you to already know it!). I would avoid taking!

This class was extremely difficult, her tests didn't even make sense. I found her lectures boring because she just reads off the slides and doesn't even explain things clearly (slides are very disorganized). Her class was very frustrating because everytime after I took a test, I felt like I seriously studied for nothing! I am not taking her again!

Dr. I is a GREAT professor. No doubt her tests are not easy but with a good understanding of the concepts in physiology an A is very possible! I like how she sites all outside sources and challenges you with critical think questions both in class, on quizzes and exams.

The subject matter was very interesting, but there was SO much to learn. It was entirely overwhelming. The class average for our midterm was a D, while the average for our first quiz was an F. to me, that's saying something about the professer, not the class.

As a woman, I was offended by references to this faculty member as being "hormonal" or "emotional". If this were a male professor, would these kind of comments have been made? I think this site is great for sharing information about expectations of faculty and their courses, but not for making ignorant and **** references. Let's grow up folks.

The material taught in this class is difficult, but Dr. Inouye makes it enjoyable to learn. Packed with info but manageable because she only tests over what she's lectured on. She is, hands down, one of the best teachers at this school!

Her lectures are always packed with info and can sometimes go too fast. Office hours may or may not help. Reading text can help. Able to use an index card for the final, which helped.

She Rocks! She let's you use a 5x8 notecard on the tests which are never cummulative. She teaches to the slowest people in the class, so no chance to fall behind. She makes sense out of pretty dense material. I'll take her again!

Seems kinda hormonal at times. Her class is hard. Asks random questions on the tests that you never remember her talking about or mentioning in class. I got a B in the class, so don't think im ****ing about my grade. This class is hard, lots of people were re-taking it.
