Dr. Castillon is such a great professor, I loved her class. She's hard on her students but it's only because she truly wants everyone to not just pass, but actually learn and understand. There's a ton of homework but how else are you supposed to learn a new language besides lots of practice and repetition? Overall, very encouraging prof

I absolutely loved this professor. She requires A LOT from you, but she is always there for help and genuinely wants you to learn. She is not mean. She is very encouraging. Don't expect an easy A though. You will work for it. Attendance is mandatory. A letter grade is dropped after the second or third absence. I loved her class so much!

GREAT TEACHER!! She is very intimidating at first, but she's eases up after the first week or so. She is by far the best Spanish teacher at Lamar. DO THE WORK IN THE TEXTBOOK BEFORE COMING TO CLASS and you'll do just fine. She is willing to help at any time and is easy to understand when talking in Spanish.

I started this class with a strong background in Spanish, having taken it at a private school since kindergarten and speaking it interchangeably with english as a child. I have to say, she is exactly what people need when learning a new language. Granted, she IS intimidating, and I am lazy, so I can't say it is an easy A, but a great class to take.

SHE VERY INTIMADATING. YOU ARE REQUIRED TO TALK SPANISH IN CLASS. SHE KINDA SCARY DURING THE 1ST WEEK BUT SHE OK OVERALL, I WILL LEARN HOW TO SPEAK SPANISH AFTER THIS CLASS. STUDYING IS MANDATORY. HER TEST ARE KINDA HARD AND SHE GRADE DIFFICULT

She was a great teacher. I'd recommend her to anyone. She kind of intimidates you at first but you grow to love her! She checks attendance daily and requires the text everyday. Participation is demanded as well. She cut up with the class and made it fun to go to. :)

Prof. Castillon is great, wonderful! She invokes thought about the subject material. Lots of fun, interesting discussions. We discuss the works of the authors in detail; everyone's opinion is acceptable as long as you support your ideas. Treats the students as her equal and loves to hear your ideas. Can be difficult, but she demands your best.
