Dr. Clarke writes all of the notes on the board so if you are a visual learner she is a really good pick. She makes a lot of example problems with a good amount of group work which is helpful. She's not the best professor but overall a really nice person. It is a hard class though

One of the worst professors I have ever had. I am starting to wonder if this woman really has a degree in chemistry. She really doesn't know anything about the subject.

At first this class seemed impossible, but it got easier as time went on. Nice lady, but she was never available to talk. ALOT of work. You WILL NOT pass if you don't put in a lot of work outside of class. She moved a little fast, but knew exactly what she was talking about and didn't waste any time during lecture. Overall this class was doable.

This class was so hard. Lecture notes were clear but she went through really fast and i didnt understand. Went to her office hours A LOT, but never felt like she was happy to be there. Lab sucked even worse.

Comment:

Don't underestimate the impact that lab has on your grade - those quizzes and lab reports add up, and it can either really help or really hurt your final grade. Make sure to do the homework, and make sure you understand the concepts. On the tests I aced the calculations but always lost a few points on the concept questions.

such a sweet and adorable lady. she has a great sense of humor and has no problem helping you out, never makes you feel stupid, and is really clear on what to study for the tests. the best chemistry teacher in my opinion, i loved her class, yet... I dont even like chemistry

Dr. Clark is a fine teacher. I suggest, though, that you go to both her's and Griffin's reviews. I noticed that Griffin would always point out a thing or two about the test that Clark wouldn't. They basically tell you exactly what's going to be on the test so there isn't much reason not to do well on them. Hell, easier than HS class imo.

She has some serious issues. Her and the chem teachers agreed that too many people were getting A's so they made the tests harder and were more vague about them. Also, if you don't show up one day to class she will not help you at all and will only say what you are doing wrong. She teaches well, but is vague with the things that affect your grade.

Comment:

A nice, friendly professor. Very helpful when you need her. Lectures are clear and easy to understand. She is animated and quite adorable. The class doesn't seem so bad. Definitely have to take good notes and study to get good grades on tests. Get good lab and quiz grades and you can still pull it off with a B if you do so and so on tests.

I think clark is a good teacher ya'll. She speaks clearly, slowly, and softly. She always asks "does everyone understand?" She really cares about her students. My only problem with her is that I think she is a little impatient underneath the motherly exterior!

People are trying to make her sound terrible. She's actually quite nice, and makes herself very available to help during office hours. Sure, Griffin is a bit more helpful then her, but she is a pretty good teacher as well. She's knowledgeable about the subject and will help you if you request it.

Do not take this class!!! If you have to take Chemistry take Dr. Griffen's class. Almost everyone was doing bad, the only reason I passed was because I went to Dr. Griffen's final review and he was actually helpful. She doesn't explain anything in class and tests are impossible.

I thought the class would be easy. Then she told us that the average grade was a C. She wasn't kidding. The material was simple, but what to expect on exams was always very unclear. You can get a B if you try harder, and an A if you took chemistry in high school. Good luck!!!!!

Her tests were awful, I studied all week and still did bad. She is not good at helping students and took forever to reply to simple emails. She did not talk about the tests before hand in class and her review sessions were no help wither.
