Comment:

Ganzert was my advisor and taught a handful of my courses. Good teacher; very passionate; likeable and sometimes goofy. Occasionally his lectures are long-winded but not a deal breaker for me. Seems like an all around cool guy in and out of school.

Comment:

Thank God I am graduating and only had him for Electronic Media Management. Probably the most pointless class I have ever taken in my life. His lectures are him standing there and reading the book No visual aid. Provides a study guide with all the information we never went over in class. If you're looking for a class to do your hw in, by all means.

This class is very informative. You must attend class and read the textbook and take notes. After all this is college, not a walk in the park. However, He is a nice guy and willing to help. If you excel, he is a great guy to ask to write your recommendation after college.

The class is pointless. Electronic Media Management is solely based on basically a radio station, not what is listed in the course description. What is talked about in class makes no sense, and to many times it goes off on a tangent, which makes it hard to stay focused. There is a study guide given before the exam, but it didn't help too much.

Dr. Ganzert is a very informative and interesting professor. The class is moderately difficult, you have to pay attention and take TONS of notes, but as long as you do that, you should be okay. Tests aren't too bad, just make sure you study. If you need help, ask him, and he is more than willing to help. He is also amusing.

He will reiterate points from 2 weeks ago for 25 minutes in order to keep you in class the entire time, right until the last moment- if not keeping you late. He won't let you use your computer in class which should be illegal because we are forced to buy computers at NMU. He is obviously an unmarried smoker

Comment:

Dr. Ganzert is one of the best professors I've had at NMU. He really knows his stuff and enjoys teaching it. A lot this class is just discussing the cases and debating them. It gets pretty heated sometimes but its fun. I actually look forward to this class. His tests are medium difficulty. Take good notes and you'll be fine.

The class is tough, but Prof. Ganzert is helpful. It helps to go to every class, because some of the test questions are taken from the lecture. He does take attendance, which is not mandatory, but is taken into account when determining your grade if you are right between two grades. He is a good professor!

Tips: If it is on the study guide, It'll be on the test. As long as you study what he tells you to, you'll do fine. Lectures are moderately important, the book and wikipedia will cover a lot of what you need to know. Be prepared for essay questions, and remember that as long as you ask him for help you should be able to do fine.

Has a passion for broadcasting. Lectures are clear, but can drag on longer than they should. Friendly and fair with everyone. Tests are multiple choice with short essays. Not an easy grader, but not overbearing

This class is very difficult when it comes to the material. The tests are HARd. Studying hard is a must. Ganzert is a great prof though and is always cheery and helpful when you need help. Hard to get A's, but he does give them if you know your stuff.
