She is nice, but will not be flexible. She is very nit-picky. It is her way or the highway. don't be late, or she will call you out! she loves to call people out!

Decent enough prof. Just make sure you show up to class, because attendance is 20% of your grade and she is strict about that. There are also a lot of quizzes, but Dra. Barnette is pretty lenient with tests and quizzes. All in all, she's a good prof. A little scatterbrained and hippie-esque, but still one of the best I've had at BSU.

I hardly ever went to class. I had lots of spanish in HS && knew this stuff. Lots of quizzes, not much HW, and 2 tests. The quizzes all have EC on them and aren't hard if you get the concepts. She is not the best Sp prof I've had, but she knows what she's talking about. Best to email her questions though, because in class she's kind of scattered.

Absolute worst teacher I've ever had in my entire life, in ANY subject. Yes, she's very knowledgeable in the spanish language but has NO skill whatsoever teaching. She goes over something for three minutes on a two slide powerpoint and you have a quiz over it the next day. She expects you to learn something right away with no practice.

I wouldn't take this class if I didn't have to but since I did, Barnette was a good one to have it with. She's very lenient on speaking Spanish and tries to make the class fun. She curves the tests if everyone does bad. 1 project 2 tests and a final. Not very much homework at all. Weekly quizzes but she drops the lowest 2. Good prof.

She was absolutely awesome. She always helped me out, and even extended some deadlines so I could get extra help. I think Dra. Barnette is awesome! And EVERYONE should have her for Spanish 101!

She's a really good prof., but she focuses WAY too much on verb conjugation. That's basically all her class was. And she moved too fast.... you miss one class, and you've already missed and entire chapter!!
