Chris's lectures are very clear and the review questions he gives prior to exams are extremely helpful. If you fill this out and stud from it you will do well on the exams, the questions are very similar. Nice guy, really excited about plants.

Obviously knows his stuff, but his presentation skills are lacking. puts everything on his slideshows and tests you on tiny, insignificant details about obscure birds and insects in a general class. lectures were not worth attending for as the slides were posted online. would not recommend this professor for students who like to be engaged in class

He is a great teacher, The person who posted before me has obviously never experienced the teacher who teaches this on the alt years. I had him for two weeks and then he fell ill, luckily pro. cronan was able to take over for him. Small writing project at the end, but it was easy compared to the one you write for 205. he is a tough grader but fair.

Nice guy, awful teacher. He is passionate about what he teaches but in no way makes the class interesting or worth attending. I did better on exams when I didn't attend class and just read the book and powerpoints. The exams - cover little pointless things you need to memorize. Take it with another teacher if you need to take it.

Very knowledgeable, lectures are quite interesting. While tests are somewhat challenging, he is very willing to give u help where/if u need it. I'd recommend this class to anyone who loves the environment and biology.
