Wonderful woman, wonderful teacher. Shes tough but all math is tough. She will go out of her way to help you if you show effort. Shes the dean of math so shes great.

Comment:

I took her for AP Calculus, and it is a difficult class. She was a wonderful and understanding professor. She taught us and did it well. That does not mean that it is an easy class. The material is difficult, but her teaching methods made it easier.

I did not learn anything from her and was left to learn everything on my own. She was very confusing. She was rude to her students, made a girl feel bad for staying home with her dying dog. She also never gave help or responded to emails. Her answer keys often had the wrong answers and she made us feel stupid if we got problems wrong.

Her tests and quizzes are difficult, but that's a part of Calculus. She is definitely one of the best math teacher's I have had! She explains everything very well.

Mrs Wallin isn't a bad teacher--but she isn't a good one either. The tests are really hard . . . a lot harder than the homework problems. I don't think anyone in the class ever got above a B on any of the major tests. For a class as demanding as Calc II, I would recommend finding a better teacher . . .

Mrs. Wallin is a great teacher. However her tests are really hard compared to some examples she gives in class. You have to practice pretty much every practice problem she gives you. If you do, then you'll do fine.

She can not teach at all. She never replies her emails in a timely fashion and has the toughest grading policy of any teacher I have ever had. For Vector Calc and Diff Equations I'm going to another college just to avoid her...

Wallin is a horrible teacher. I took Pre-Calculus 2 w/ her during the Summer & WORK MY BUTT off in the class. I would literally study for 40+ hours a week and didn't do well in her class at all. Her test are way harder than anything you will see in the book or the notes. If I have to take a math class again i'm going to another local college.

Very easy to understand and very helpful. But VERY tough on testing. no curves, no extra credit, no nothin. and the tests are WAY harder then any of the examples in class.

She is a nice lady, who "trys" to make class interesting. unforunatly, she fails. The material in her class wasn't to hard, its the way she taught it made it seem harder. I would NOT suggest taking her.
