I havent finished this class yet so im keeping this as unbiased as possible. In fact im pretty sure im going to pass. With that said, her class will seem a little disorganized at first. Its not a lecture, take notes, then test class. Its group projects and articles. Shes the sweetest and very knowledgeable. I can tell she cares.

Would not recommend this professor!! All she does is give out articles to discuss that have nothing to do with the material that will be on the test. Your grade is based solely on the group project, research paper and midterm/final but at least she gives you the chance for extra credit.... :/

She is the worst teacher ever. She is rude, she doesn't care about her students. She is not organized at all. Doesn't give clear instructions. She thinks her students should know everything even if she doesn't teach it. She just reads articles and barely uses slides for lectures. She is EXTREMELY rude and uncaring. Would never take her again.

Dear lord up in heaven I pray for any student unlucky enough to have this teacher. I had her for PSY217, or adolescent psych and she is quite easily the worst teacher I've ever had. She invalidated the midterm because she gave us a review sheet for a completely different test and she tries to take all blame off of herself and put it on students.

Professor Rubman is a very difficult professor to work with. She has very little patience. There is a midterm, final, group project and research paper. She is very unclear about what she wants for the research paper and is a harsh grader, especially for the citations (which she doesn't go over). Its not impossible to get an A but she makes it hard

She is difficult to understand sometimes. She is a very tough grader. She assigns one course paper but you're not allowed to use any sources other than the textbook. If you do not cite correctly, she will give you a poor grade. The midterm is all stuff from the textbook. She is very unclear on what she wants for the course paper and the project.

VERY time consuming class, for a very easy and fun class, she has made it very difficult and discouraging. In the beginning of the semester I loved the class, but as time went on, I put so much time and effort into all the assignments and did not get good feedback. NOT a good online teacher.

She is great! There is no way you won't pass her class unless you don't do any of the work, and she gives 2 or 3 extra credit quizzes.

She grades by how well you cite and can do research based discussions. There is a discussion every week and two tests because the course moves fast. Very fast at responding to emails. Overall an easy class that you can do well in if you try!

Dr. Rubman is an amazing professor. I took one of her psychology classes before and she made things easy to understand& gave out a few different extra credits. Because she was so good I took another psych class with her and once again, easy A, tons of extra credit opportunities. Would 100% recommend. MUST buy the book & MUST participate to get an A

Comment:

Her Scottish accent is what makes her interesting, other than that she made this the hardest PSYCH class for no reason. She gives opportunities for extra credit (like attending a club). Consists of a midterm final both open book (beware though not easy as you think) & a research paper that you can't do research on. I don't recommend her honestly.

Comment:

PSY203 Rubman held very interesting class discussion and offered her time to those willing to reach out. Very funny at times. Loved the accent. Seemed extremely fair in grading. All test open booked and continued offering ways to receive extra credit. I recommend taking her class.

Not a difficult upper level psych course but she is unclear on what she expects. The research papers are extremely time consuming if you want a good grade. The mid-term and final were completely different to what she lectured about so you must go thru the textbook and read each chapter. Gives very easy extra credit points. No HW

Rubman is in love with the idea of group work, not necessarily a bad thing. 2x group projects will be assigned, however they are fairly easy should you choose the proper group. Exams are open notebook, TAKE NOTE OF EVERYTHING. The exams are tough.

Took this class online it was a lot of work but she is very clear with everything she expects from you. She is very helpful all you have to do is ask for it. The only thing i did not like was for the three research papers that we had to write we could only use the text book for sources. But overall she was a very good professor!

Professor Rubman was great. Only 2 test both open notebook. 2 papers with a group presentation. she was always very helpful answering any question I had.
