Class SWK-4EX This class was very very writing intensive. Every week consist of a two discussion and paper assigned for every two weeks. Very boring class! no quizzes only writing! Papers 4-5 pages.

She's a totally cool professor. She takes a lot of interest in the Grateful Dead but that doesn't consume a lot of her lectures. She's really passionate about what she teaches. Sometimes she has tangents but it's her way of getting a good convo from the class. You won't use the book. Read the NY Times Articles and the PPTs (seriously)

As has been said she is painfully boring, and she tends to go on these long rants about the Grateful Dead (managing to tie just about any topic to it). All her exams come literally straight from her powerpoints which you can download. It's very easy multiple choice and so are the true/false she tries to talk you out of doing.

MISERABLE. Seriously half the class fell asleep. The lecture was SO boring. Everything is on blackboard but you still have to go to class everyday because her attendance policy is SO strict. If you arrive more than 5 min late you are counted absent for the whole class and you only get two absences. She had her TA guarding the door at all times.

Her lectures made me want to kill myself. She is sooo boring. I got an A+ in the class, but it was so boring I wish I had taken it with someone else. She was very rude when I talked to her one on one.

She just teaches off her slide that you can print out for your personal use. She is pretty boring but VERY easy. She is probably one of the best teachers on the easiness side of my college career.

excellent class. Attendance is manditory, but it helps. Go to the test review and study, you should be fine. Take advantage of extra credit and remember her examples. You will do great. Really cares about students

She is a pretty good teacher, there are a couple opportunities for extra credit which many teachers do not offer. The test questions are straight off the slides which you can get off of blackboard. She is very nice, just make sure you study and you should do fine on the tests.

She is an okay teacher. She just has a lot of slides and all she does is read off of slides, and the class is really large. I do better in smaller classes.

I must admit, she knows what she is talking about. The Deadhead section was amazing...but the rest of the class wasn't. It was dificult to stay awake in class on most days. The class would have been a lot easier had she kept my interest. Passable, but not fun.

Knows her stuff. Answers all questions brought up clearly and with reason. Opens the lecture class to debates and discussions. Makes material as interesting as possible.

I actually majored in and ended up teaching because of this professor. She pioneered research on the Grateful Dead and I often use her research in my lectures. Everyone should feel privileged to take a professor of this magnitude.

I liked her a lot. She does powerpoint notes that are available to students on blackboard before each class. She gives wonderful examples with everything and opens the class to discussion and questions often. Her tests were very easy if you take notes and look over them. No actual required homework but she does recommend that you read.

i dont know what class the other people on this page were taking, but i found her to be boring and DULL. i played my gameboy during her lectures. she is also a huge feminist and preaches her values constantly. she hates walmart. tests are somewhat hard, but only because it is so hard to listen to her. she makes me hate sociology.

Very good professor! I enjoyed her class (would have enjoyed it more if I didn't have an 8 am class before hers, but oh well!) Her tests are VERY fair and there are many opportunities for extra credit.

Prof. Adams is wonderful! She is by far my favorite professor at UNCG. She is very caring and interested in the well being of her students. Her lectures are interesting. She provides a lot of examples and shares a lot of VERY interesting personal stories (like the 70-some year old prostitute). I highly recommend this class for a GSB requirement.

She's nice, fun to listen to, and interesting. The textbook was boring (I didn't read it because I couldn't concentrate on it), but mostly if you pay attention in class and take notes, you'll be fine. She encourages printing her notes off of blackboard. =D

im not a big fan of big classes, but for what this one was worth Mrs adams made it work. she took advantage of any and all time allotted for lecture and had her ducks in a row. but kept strict on attendance, so if you are someone who doesnt like going to class, pick a different prof.
